If we get a few new players in to each position we could end with players having set positions as supposed to the tinkering around with injuries etc this season. Where is Sterling going to end up, the utility man? If we get no-one good in upfront could he become a second striker for us, if Johnson is still **** he could play right back and be Alves on steds

Done well enough last night to see why he should be a starter for England for the foreseeable future.
Best player on the pitch at times for large portions of the first half, including that excellent early effort plus his pass for the Sturridge goal, but clearly tired, understandably, as the game wore on in the second.
TBH, seeing as how Rooney wasn't gonna be subbed off, there's an argument to suggest Sterling should have been switched out to the left and Rooney brought inside to assist England's supersoft middle,...if he could be arsed running about a bit.
Just might have been better use of the two players from a tactical point of view as England played into Italy's hands, but Sterling can hold his head up after that display.

Think Raheem's immediate lack of celebration gave it away......if it had of went in he probably would have jumped into the crowd and impregnated some young one, or something along those lines.

Arrived as an England hero now, they're going to heap that expectation on him big time.

I love his fearless running and invention - he plays like a brazilian should. Highlights just how bland the Brazilians were in that opening game. No magic.
