    Raheem Sterling

**** him off, his voice bores me, the thick twonk.
His brief today was to piss the fans off, makes his move easier.

If we would of came 4th last season and had the season we are having now, you could maybe understand Sterling wanting to see what options he has.

But we came within one match of the title and everyone can see that we are going to be successful under Rodgers.

So after 2 full seasons as a first team professional, after being given his opportunity under Rodgers, he wants to see whats on offer? Its not like we are 6-7th and have no chance of top four or winning a trophy this season.

Finished with this greedy ungrateful little ****. He has one decent season and thinks he's the next John Barnes.

So much for the agent just changing roles in April. Its all about Raheem and the bad advice.

Someone above said Raheem will play for Chelsea/City because 'he's good enough'. Well he's good enough for us but he has poor end product and can't shoot to save his (or at times our) lives. However, nearly all our players have poor end product and can't shoot for **** so Raheem shines.

He won't shine for Chelsea/City for long when he misses umpteen opportunities. More bench time means less match practice to hone the end product...means more bench time. He'll perpetually end up on the bench if he doesn't stay with us. I just hope we can do a Torres Mk2 with Chelsea. That would be worth it just for the mirth.

I'd love him to stay (at the right money) and I'd love to get big money for him (to buy Vietto, Lacazette, Depay, etc). Win win.
        One tit for another.

But he wasn't our best attacking player when he was 18, he was a talented kid who had played 10 games. He most certainly wasn't our best attacking player last season either. As soon as he became, arguably, our best attacking player we started negotiating and then offered him £100,000 a week. While letting him take time off mid season and making all sorts of other allowances for his youth and the fact he so obviously is not the finished article yet.

I don't think this has anything to do with it though really, he's obviously been persuaded that whatever we offer he can get more elsewhere with a club where he can mostly sit on the bench for a couple of years and "win things".

Do you honestly believe that? I think Coutinho and Sturridge are better, the former considerably so and whilst lacking the pace I think lallana is a better footballer.

Sign or get sold, I'm not going to lose any sleep either way. He's not as good as Owen, Fowler, Gerrard, Macca or any of the other brilliant players we produced were when they were 20. He's good and has potential, but he's not that good.

Has to be one off the badly advised interviews I've seen. I bet he's getting a few pelters from the senior players. What planet are he and his agent on.....?
Given how badly this has been received by most of the media and fans, it wouldn't surprise me he signed a new deal in the next few days either.

He's done himself no favours here

Good point - even more so with Henderson"s deal expiring next season

No major loss if he goes really, let's just get top dollar and improve the squad big time this summer. He is a good player Raheem but he has a very long way to go and he should heed the warnings about leaving such s great club. Arsenal has been mentioned, even Chelsea. Not exactly the best places where young English talent has thrived, infact look at Oxlade Chamberlain, his career just stagnating.

I'd be withdrawing any 100k a week offer straight away........ 80k max. Its not about money anyway.

                      Chancer.

I love playing football for Liverpool and I want to be there for many years and in terms of my contract I think everybody else will make a big deal of it but for me it’s just letting my agent and the club deal with it and whenever it gets sorted, it gets sorted.
                        No worries, he'll stay.

"When I heard Jonathan (Barnett) repeat the figure of £55k, I nearly swerved off the road. “He is taking the piss, Jonathan!” I yelled down the phone. I was so incensed. I was trembling with anger. I couldn’t believe what I’d heard. I suppose it all started to fall apart for me from then on. I’d trusted Mr Dein to push the deal through."

Such a shame as he's going to be a great player but he wants to leave the club will sell... For the right price. I suspect we will accept £50m.

£500k > £50m for 5 years work, it would have to rank as the club's best ever return. Even though one day he could be worth more. Could.
