Surely the agent is just doing what he sees as best for his client (and himself) in this. There is very little loyalty within football nowadays, mainly due to the massive amounts of money involved. As fans we tend to expect it from our own but would be happy to gain as a result of another player's desire to make more money coming to us. Love the club, not the players!

I don't know, this seems like a bit OTT from the agent. Maybe Sterlings future isn't best served with us but he is playing regularly now and there is no guarantee that he will when he moves clubs.

The agent does seem to be pushing to new lows with this.

Get rid of him and use the money to bring in new players who we can use to not only get back into CL but also get more experience in europe and other games so that we're ready if the time comes. Far better than buying new ones and getting smashed out in the beginning stages, if we make it back, because they're not used to our style.

Isn't his other client Berahino at West Brom?

And isn't Berahino causing problems over his contract there?

Seems to be a pattern emerging here, ie Agent wants a very big Summer payday.

Here's a story from the Telegraph back in February:

Aidy Ward appears to like unauthorised interviews...

...Berahino is also set to be fined for an interview with Sky Sports which was agreed without the permission of his club, in which he admitted he hopes to “move on to bigger things”.

Should we expect issues from Oxlade-Chamberlain next? (Ward is involved although his father Mark is supposed to be his actual representative since his split from Impact Sports Management.)

The issue is he is trying to make a name for himself when he goes it alone, it's much more impressive for him (Ward) to negotiate a transfer of Sterling from LFC to another top club, than it is for him to get Sterling a good deal with us. It raises his profile and probably adds a few extra million quid to his pocket. IMO it is dangerous for a young player to put his trust in or be taking advice from someone like this.

Also I hate that they are now calling themselves 'advisors' rather than 'agents'
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Walcott and 20m for Sterling in some rags tomorrow.

**** him off and use the money to buy Ricardo Rodriguez. We'll have a brilliant left sided wingback/attacker and reduce the average age further!

Seems to be that he attracts a particular player personality rather than him turning them that way. People will always gravitate toward those that suit their agenda.

Oxlade Chamberlain comes across as very family focused and not sneery in the slightest

I'd take Walcott plus 20-30 million. He'd get more goals than Sterling too.

I think Raheem wants to be nearer his family and we can't begrudge him that at the end of the day. He's only a kid and is probably homesick.

Honestly, I doubt it's about that.

I guess he thinks there are more cash machines down in London ,

needs to have a long hard look at what he wants because he could go the way of plenty of other players who have chased the coin , bit part on big money with two year career that stagnates ,

I am at a loss on this one , because anyone who follows football can see Brendan must be one of the best managers to play for if you are young and good enough you play ,

walcott is definitely a better finisher. the issue with him is that he is often crocked and we dont need to overwork our medical team any further.
they are struggling to repair sturridge, sakho, lallana, mario, etc on an almost daily basis.

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
