There are some who work hard to have the career they've had, and if there's one thing about Milner, its that he works hard.Originally posted by Lecter View PostI've never understood some footballers they are earning obscene amounts of money
I'd live like a ****ing monk
As Houllier said "Why be so concerned with going to nightclubs now, in 15 years time after you are finished playing you can buy as many nightclubs as you want"
Can't remember if he got up to anything when he was younger
All my life I've wanted to do what I'm doing now. Now I'm here, and enjoying every minute of it. You've got to make a few sacrifices, but I don't mind that.

Agreed its boundariesOriginally posted by Vermilion View PostI can totally understand youngsters wanting to go out, dress up, show off.
They are young, it's what young un's do.
Just because they play football and earn lots of money, doesn't stop them being human.
It's fine if done within reason, that's the issue, boundaries.
Trying soooo hard not to be a grumpy
here.
Some players overstep the boundaries and imo Sterling has done that on more than one occasionBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Henderson is another one, who works hard doesnt get into troubleOriginally posted by McDermotX View PostThere are some who work hard to have the career they've had, and if there's one thing about Milner, its that he works hard.

Dont get me wrong some of our players have had the odd indiscretion
Carragher had a few in his younger days but once he was given the warning he knuckled down and did what was needed to be done
Gerrard moved out to live in Southport to avoid temptation of going out with his mates when he was young
To me you cant have it both ways, you want the life and rewards of a professional footballer you have to operate within certain boundaries
To me Sterling is flirting perilously close to those over the last few leaked stories
The lad is calling for the club to protect him but its difficult to protect someone from themselvesBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

The good probably are lacking in one of those qualities
The ones that fall by the wayside are invariably ones that lack BRAINS (on and off the pitch)Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

He wants to leave and if we're honest he hasn't been great this season but I expect that from a 20 year old who has the weight of the club on his shoulders.
Maybe its time for both parties to break ties, we could do without this every few months and its definitely a message that the club need to get itself in better order off the pitch.
Good player, loads of potential and he could well become great. He isn't bigger than this club though and he'll be in for a rude awakening when he sits on the bench for someone like Chelsea most weeks.Vive la France

Plus you can't escape the fact that the lad is a totally crap RWB and, frankly, if you can't play RWB then there is no place for you in our squadA lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
