Wonder how BR will handle all this in public, think managers are in a no win situation tbf, as their career progress can take a similar curve to players.

Could BR honestly say that if Maureen packed it in at Chavski tomorrow and named him as the man to take them forward for the future, would he turn that down if offered? or if another similarly wealthy club came in?

I'm not sure he would, or could. Some might say he did exactly that with the move from Swansea to LFC, and his career could more better have been served staying at a club such as them for longer, not saying they'd be right, but it's the same as saying Sterling should stay for the good of his career, it's not a good enough reason, as that article before said.

Anyway, i cannot believe a club as well run as Bayern, and with a manager like Guardiola, would be after such a **** player as Sterling!

Absolutely bang on from Carra. He's achieved nothing. One good season and he has a lot to prove. He is receiving terrible advice, but if he wants to go let the bidding war ensue, I just don't think we will get as much as everyone thinks.

Absolutely. Carra has been making an arse out of himself recently IMO with some of his analysis, but when I was watching him last night, I was nodding along with everything he was saying.

I totally agree with what you say though, and this is the bad advice he is receiving. He needs to take time and develop his career. A move to an 'elite' mega bucks team is not what he needs. Sadly it is all too easy to see why players want to move from us for trophies, because lets face it - we don't win any.

Barrett article bang on but I take exception with one point, there are plenty of our fans who can't see that expectations have been dumbed down and mediocrity is the next step, if it hasn't arrived already.
