Sounds good from where we're sitting, carry on screwing. A film title sadly never realised.

Edin Dzeko rejects Liverpool transfer from Manchester City as Raheem Sterling makeweight

      22:30, 16 JUNE 2015 BY JOHN CROSS

The Blues are in pole position to buy the contract-rebel England forward but it looks as if it'll have to be a straight-cash transaction

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has rejected the chance to join Liverpool as part of a player-plus-cash deal for Raheem Sterling.

City are set to make a renewed offer for Anfield forward Sterling after having a £30m offer rejected last week.

They are also ready to offload reserve frontman Dzeko, but the 29-year-old is not keen on a move to Merseyside and it looks like the Blues will need to try to do a straight cash deal on Sterling.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers' top striker target is Aston Villa'sBelgium international Christian Benteke.

The Reds also want Southampton and England right-back Nathaniel Clyne and are likely to make an improved offer, having had a £10m bid turned down.

It means Liverpool are increasingly under pressure to sell Sterling, who has two years left on his deal at Anfield.

City will come back with a new bid for the 20-year-old as they look to fend off competition from Chelsea.

The Mancunian Blues are in pole position and are likely to make an offer of closer to £40m, which will test Liverpool's resolve.

I'm sure my mum knows more about football than John Cross. And she doesn't know much about football.

£50million gives us £40 million once QPR have been paid off.

And they can stick their add-ons. Dig up another oil well and stop pretending to be a profit-loss type 'business'.

£40m isn't bad for a ****cunt who can't finish and has no composure or game intelligence etc.

Yeah I think we're getting a very good price at £40m+ to be honest.

Now let's not waste the money for once.

Once we've given QPR their share, we should have just the right amount left to trigger Benteke's clause.

£40million is £30million once QPR have been paid. Would some people accept that?

I think we all agree that Sterling can play better than he showed towards the end of last season but £40million is a good price. Or at least it would be if we did not have to give QPR £10million

                                No.

They paid £42m for Mangala, a **** centre back. With that in mind £40m for a 20 year old forward with gigantic potential is taking the piss.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
