    **** off City. **** offer.

I really don't care about the figures involved - it is the end result on our squad that counts. If we get £60m and spend half of it on another Lovren then the extra cash will have been of no benefit at all.

Bottom line is can we sell him and improve our team. Forget the potential, we have plenty in our squad with potential. What we need next season is quality so we can get back in that top 4.

I can think of a Ton of players better than Sterling right now, I just don't know if they'd want to come to this club. So it's a tough decision without knowing facts.

The one thing holding me back would be remembering Sterling miss all those chances. At some point I think he will start to put them away, and then the sky's the limit.
        Forwards.......

45m upfront, no add ons. Is the minimum we should be after.

RE Sterling: Don't buy the final bid idea. You don't make such huge offers this early in the summer and then walk away.

The Sterling money must be invested in top quality. Can't make same mistake as they did with the Suarez money.

Eventually all our potential/top quality players will be replaced with mediocrity and that's a slippery slope. We must replace him well, and not with Benteke and Clyne.

What Rodgers needs to know is his preferred formation and then he can decide what sort of players he needs.

Example - if we are going to the diamond we could put Coutinho in the hole and sell Steling, or we could still have Couts in midfield and sign a goal scoring attacking mid like Firmino.

If we are going 4231, do we need a wide man to replace Raheem, or is the plan to have Couts, Lallana, Markovic & Ibe as the wide players? Personally I think the key to next season is getting the best out of Coutinho and where we see him fitting in.

I think Phil is a level above Raheem and whilst Sterling was good in the hole, I think Phil is better in that position and I also think we could sign better wide players than Sterling as he's not got the bets delivery or finish.

Coutinho is at his best with intelligent, mobile strikers/forwards in front of him.

Who knows, when Sturridge comes back he might be in for the rest of the season, but I think filling the squad up with players who can't really show the best of our most talented player seems a bit like the club doesn't know what direction to go in.

I'm not suggesting we build a team around Coutinho, especially giving our transfer policy these days. But giving where the team is lacking most at the moment, I think a striker should be signed to suit playing alongside the likes of Coutinho, Ibe, Markovic, Lallana etc. That just isn't Benteke, nor is it Ings long term. We need better than him.

                          Yep

I think we will get more out of them though

I think Sterling does have game intelligence. He'll be brilliant without the pressure of expectation every single match. He'll mature and get more comfortable with that and then we'll cry.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Would we not be better keeping him for 2 seasons on his current wage and getting a tribunal pay out?

£30m after QPR's cut, we'd get 2 seasons out of him and probably close to that in settlement I'd imagine.
