from what i remember man city in recent seasons have never pulled out of signing a player because he was too expensive. if they really want him they will pay whatever it takes to get him. a deal worth 50m wont put them off.

Where's Real Madrid when ya need em! A few more clubs bidding, and that price should go up nicely & even with just City in the bidding, we should get big money. Don't want him anywhere near LFC next season, so hopefully he is sold for good price. In the current market, which is absolutely ridiculous.... he is worth 50 million plus.

If they are after both, then it would be difficult to imagine De Bruyne not being their number one target. The guy has been an assist machine his entire career to date and is not too shabby at getting goals either.

Guys like De Bruyne or Eriksen are pretty much the players we hope Coutinho will turn out to be (Although both are that bit more developed as players than Coutinho at present despite all three being close to the same age)

De Bruyne has looked sensational this season. No doubts City will go all out for him. They'll have a bit of a clear out IMO. Sterling clearly wants out, hasn't played well in months & has shown little or know respect for the club. He may well turn out to be an outstanding player but he doesn't want to be here & we need players that want to play for the club and will fight for the jersey.

There's no way he'll be here next season, after the way he's gone on & I don't want him to be either.

FWIW Chazza......I don't think anyone 'wants' him sold, but we are were we are through a combination of player and club direction, and its going to be supremely difficult for him to continue his potential progression with us and for the club to balance the value of him staying and providing his current level of input and possibly leaving next year for buttons, relatively speaking.
He may become a very good player down the line, more than likely elsewhere, but I do know one thing, this current Liverpool squad isn't make or break depending on him being here.
We'll move on, in our own sometimes depressing manner for the foreseeable future, but maybe, just maybe we may strike gold with the money from his sale.

People moan like **** about players we are signing but will easily see one of the only class players we have ****ed off because he or his agent has said a few things in the press.

Sell him for 30/40/50m we won't get anyone near him as a replacement.
