Sterling is overrated at the moment as he shows some decent statistics for a player that has potential.
That's all it is, he's not world class yet & won't get there playing with City or Chelsea as they are graveyards for young potentials. If Arsenal came in for him, then he would have a chance as we all know what Arsene can do.
For him to develop further, he 's got to stay with us then assess his options 3 or 4 years in the future.

Anyway, I am looking forward to Ibe to develop further as he seems a better potential than Sterling with him being more level headed & without a ****ty agent in his ear.

      Just my tuppence.
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

I'm not worried about Sterling leaving providing we get a decent fee but we MUST reinvest it properly rather than spunking big on ****.

I think he could be a lot better if he had the same attitude as Ibe but then there's nothing wrong with ambition, it's just his gratitude that's lacking.

the two videos earlier that showed sterling looking decent are from when he was playing alongside suarez and stodgey biscuits. Since then he has looked like ****. Coincidence

There is a reason why the top European teams have been looking and have been linked with him, these players don't come around often.
What do you suggest the club does to change his mind?

Tough one really, I think it comes down to success on the pitch and financial rewards, to get him to stay we'll have to be better than we were last season and convince him that he can be a big part of that and the obligatory big bag of cash

We used to have quality, experience and belief from top to bottom. I think now the issue is that there's nothing that sets us apart from the likes of Spurs, Leeds and Everton. I'm serious too. Clubs with a great history and strong loyal fanbase but without a chance of becoming the country's top side without massive investment. Not a single soul in our organisation can put his hand up and say 'I've been key to a winning side', except for Kolo Toure. It's frightening how inexperienced our players, coaching, management and owners are.

I don't think Sterling will believe that changes can be made here that will make a difference and I think his mind is made up. It's understandable that some fans will want him to go as he doesn't want to be here by all accounts.

If Anderson cost united 25 from Porto then Sterling is worth 50 easy.

City need English players for their quota which is 5 short after Milner, Richards, Sinclair , Lampard and Boyata leaving.

We have them over a barrel for this one

Rafa will be along shortly with a bid to mix it up a little too.

But he has not looked **** since Suarez left.

Sterling started last season strongly and was playing well in a poor team up until around December or early January.

Then from January onwards he looked disinterested on the pitch and his goals/assists started to dry up.

My own thoughts are that he wants out and rather than put in the effort to show other clubs what he can do, he instead downed tools and just went through the motions until the season ended.

Would have thought that putting in big performances would have made it easier for him to get his big move, but maybe he really does think he is close to being the finished article and so much in demand that he does not need to prove it. Would be a silly attitude to have if it is even slightly close to being the truth.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Sell him for 30/40/50m we won't get anyone near him as a replacement.

I'm not sure we'd get a direct replacement but I'm also not sure we'd want a direct replacement.

Personally if I had the choice of Sterling or £50m to spend on (or put towards) someone like Higuain (assuming he'd come) I'd take Higuain every time.
