Honestly I think football clubs would be very wise to push back collectively against destructive agents like Aidy Ward .. if a small handful of powerful club chairmens essentially put the word out ...we will not do business with Aidy Ward ... he would be tomorrows fish and chips paper
He is hardly a popular agent he only has Oxlade Chamberlain on his books who is top draw the rest Ridgewell, Steven Davis, Jason Roberts etc

No wonder he is needing the Sterling move!

Lfc happy to keep Sterling on 35k a week for next two years rather than compromise on price (Chris Bascombe)

Brilliant response from the club if true.

              If true, class response.

Bascombe used to be well connected, let's hope he still is.

Even if he was/is, still smacks of club disinformation

As long as we could get him to take the field it could well make financial sense. After paying off him and qpr we'd probably clear around 30m tops if we sold him. To keep him would cost less than 2m for each season. Buying an expensive replacement and paying them high wages would probably cost us At least 10-15m a season for the two seasons without the guarantee that they would be as good.

And if after 2 years he joined an English club we'd still get compo too.

Why not? It's not like we lose him for free at the end of 2 years is it? Plus we get a 100k a week (and the rest) player for 2 years at 35k! Not like he can sulk for 24 months either if he still has grand plans for a big move. We are in complete control here.

Still moves for a fee at the end of two years as under 24 - (lol)
I make no apologies, this is me

But his head is gone. He's a young kid and pretty immature it seems.

I'd love him to stay but it's not happening is it.

and it is about time that the club took back control of the situation as well.

In reality, it will cost us circa £3.5m in wages to keep him for the next 2 seasons. So we would save £6.5m in wages alone (based on what he would have got had he accepted LFC's 100k p/w offer) over 2 seasons to keep him on what he is on.

Add that to the fact that we would still get a fee (lets say it is a tribunal fee of £20m??), then all of a sudden we get £26.5m for keeping him for 2 seasons anyway. That does not take into account the fact that we would need to splash out on his replacement...... which we will in 2 years time as well but for all we know, LFC could have someone like Harry Wilson primed for a first team role by then anyway so we may be happy to play the waiting game.

The only downside to all of this is the fact that he will still cause the club disharmony in the dressing room - and every transfer window we would need to put up with his ****e.....

For me I would prefer us to sell for £50m with the prick putting in a transfer request. However the club need to be very firm on the cunt.....any deal happens on our terms.
