They paid what, £35m, for Mangala?

Offering us less for Sterling, for me, shows they know how crap we are in transfer negotiations

30m is a good place to start. 50m is a really good place to end.

£30m is miles away from what we should be looking at.

City will have 70m when Real Madrid buy Aguero!

Comparing an actual fee for Mangala to an opening bid to test the water for Sterling isn't the right way to go. I also don't think it reflects our reputation in the transfer market. It's a starting bid. It can be dismissed and we'll hold out if necessary and sell if we have to (see Suarez).

It's not that far. I really don't think we'll be seeing anything near £50m, maybe a headline £40m figure.

              £25m?

              2 years on his contract..

They paid not far off that for Lescott didn't they?

I'd have been tempted to not respond never mind reject, cheeky ****s.

I'd have accepted and sent Lovren over instead.

                  That'd get the message across

So Alan Brazil reckons Sterling wants to go to Arsenal, but his agent is pushing him to Citeh.

We need to call in 'of the nest' to negotiate on our behalf .

His agent is trying to use City to flush out interest from Arsenal imo.

If he can get City to bid near an amount we'll accept, he then just has to delay and wait for Arsenal to steam in.

Tbh, I could see him staying as I can't believe for one second that Arsenal would go crazy and bid over £30m for him. Never mind £50m.

Sterling believes himself to be the bees knees and should put out a statement saying he's offended that they value him so cheaply

Think i agree, but then, Arsenal have changed, and if Wenger truly rates him, maybe, just maybe.

Sterling wants to play for Arsenal but Wenger is unlikely to feel it makes any sense unless they lose Walcott.....hmmmmm.

There was some swiss bloke on the radio yesterday who had a formula for transfer valuations for all the better European players worked out scientifically by some institute and he reckoned Raheem should be going for something in the region of £60m.
