If we accepted a player plus cash deal, would the 20% sell clause on that QPR are entitled to only be on the monetary element or would we have to give them a percentage of the players perceived value as part of the deal?

Depends on the terms, but I'd say they'd likely only get a slice of the money.

We'll be better trading with a team willing to offload a really good player as opposed to straight cash. But those kind of deals never work as the 'really good player' often doesn't want to be sloppy seconds of someone else's transfer.

        So we get Nunez instead.

Realistically, which Man City players who they might seek to offload would we want (and be prepared to pay the wages for)? Dzeko? Meh.

Dzeko and Jovetic have been the players linked.

If Arsenal make a bid, I don't think we'll get Walcott in exchange, and if Chelsea make a bid, there's no one who they could offer.

Plenty of good players in the Chelsea squad and also from the group they loaned out that could be offered, but I think the question should be who would they offer that is any good if it came to cash + player/s

I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

If a cash/swap deal means avoiding Benteke I'm all for it, unfortunately I fear Chelsea will buy
the Villa man and then swap him for Sterling!

Ok fair enough but it's the constant negativity. Sometimes it's best to not say anything you know?

Apart from Aguero, I'm struggling to think of a single player I'd want from City based on their age and longevity. Does this mean they're actually a one man team?

After today's enthralling game v Roi....
Hodgson on Sterling: 'He may be beginning to realise he is going to have to get an even thicker skin than he has at the moment.'
"He's going through a bad time publicly. You can't expect him just to shrug off criticism"

Just watching a video of all our goals last season, and after his worldie against Norwich he runs over to Rodgers to hug him. Mad to think now he apparently can't stand him. Wonder what's gone on this year

who knows Suarez leaving and Sturridge out injured hasn't helped him his game....maybe the lack of top signings and without a doubt the influence of the Darth Vader[his agent]pretty sure Sterling deep down is confused and being somewhat railroaded by his Agent.Sterling's 20 yrs old loads of time to go on and win things at other clubs if that what he wants. But even now he'd be pretty much a squad player elsewhere.
