It will be too late by then mate.Originally posted by Harv View PostMeeting all the lads on Sunday before they play here Monday night. I'll be doing all i can to try convince Rodgers to sign Lacazette or Reus instead of Big Chris.

What if a big chunk of it was dependent on them winning the Champions League?Originally posted by RedReet View PostI'd have taken option A. I'd be more confident of City as a club being successful than Sterling being successful.
He'll get plenty of games, I think we've taken the best option..

I wasn't being totally serious mate. Obviously we don't want any incentives that involve our rivals doing well, so the appearances makes more sense, but I won't be that surprised if we never see that extra £5m.Originally posted by Pepe79 View PostWhat if a big chunk of it was dependent on them winning the Champions League?

There are no guarantees he'll nail down a first team place, not to mention he's always one bad injury away from losing his best asset. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

we will miss raheem sterling. there's a lot of bad feeling towards him because how his departure was handled but he was very good for us last year and the year before.
he will do well for city because of their style of football. i dont think he is a wide player and their 4222 with sterling and silva playing inside the fullbacks will suit his game.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

I actually think it's good business all round.

The club has certainly spent enough... at least in terms of transfer fees since 1991.
We have spent enough money and we have had couple of very good managers since then. But in hindsight, we have not spent the right amount of money at the right players at critical times.

It all depends on Firminho. If he's as good as we hope then he'll add the spark that we've lost with Sterling leaving. If Firminho ends up being a dud then its going to be a tough season.Originally posted by el matador View Postwe will miss raheem sterling. there's a lot of bad feeling towards him because how his departure was handled but he was very good for us last year and the year before.

Maybe. But this seems to be in contradiction to the way they have normally managed their sports franchises. Maybe they have a different model for Liverpool compared to Red Sox and other racing teams they own.Originally posted by baitman View Postit might be a level that FSG are reluctantly happy to settle for until we finish the stadium [main stand phase] and then lets see if they stick or twist then.
they may decide its a good time to cash in on their asset [shanghai] or they might then decide to develop the Anfield road end.
They have spent money though. They havent spent it on the right personnel.

Isn't it about 200k a week, insane really.Originally posted by Fan65 View Post20 Years old and on a contract reportedly worth well over £100k a week
He's one lucky boy.
We all dream of a big lottery win yet he's engineered one.
Good luck to him.
Mind you I detest the way he's treated our club in getting his way but that's what Sky's big money has done to the game.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Not necessarily. Our best form last year came when Sterling was playing CF, a role which he wasn't suited so any decent forward with pace could be just as effective.Originally posted by tanner View PostIt all depends on Firminho. As an attacking midfielder we have any number of players who can fill the void. Coutinho has it in him to move up another gear or two, Ibe has a similar skillset and may just come to fruition next year, Lallana is capable of providing more goals than Sterling if he stays fit and Markovic might surprise us and show some of his Benfica form.
Obviously there is Firminho as you mentioned and potentially any other future recruits.
On last season's form, I don't feel we are losing that much and if we do struggle I’m fairly certain it will be in other areas of the pitch (CF, CB, Keeper?) and not in the position’s where Sterling would have played. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
