The story of Torres on the market in January is in the Daily Mail as well. As for all the arguments as to whether he still has it or has lost it forever I think one mans opinion matters more than any others.

If Chelsea were willing to sell (particular to us) then if I were Kenny I'd be calling up Rafa and asking if Torres can be fixed or is he screwed forever. I'd then be waiting for an answer with baited breath.

I desperately want us to sign a good striker more than anything else this January and I'm not sure if Torres is the answer. One man would know though.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Good post and a very interesting point. He could very well have a massive input.

£5m effectively. Probably not even that - did Roman pay everything up front?
I've seen you say that sort of thing a few times now, but it doesn't make sense. If Torres is available for £20m then it won't cost us £5m, it will cost us £20m. The money they agreed for his transfer we're entitled to regardless of whether we re-sign him or not.

Agreed Polo, but people often make the same comment in reverse about Carroll.

This is edging worryingly close to the nett/gross debate

Yeah I'd be sorely tempted to bring him back for that.

                    I miss him

It is true. Why do you think Modric wanted out so badly?

Team player, assumed to be a professional, eh ? eh?

**** you Traitor..........He made his bed, he's doing a **** job of lying in it, but it's not our problem...........the idea of bringing THAT back is offensive IMO

Torres at £20 mill would be a snip. I am sure he would crawl back to us given the chance.

I along with many others have been pissed off with him and they way he left. However, if we got back the Torres of old I would be more than happy

It could be a snip yeah, I'd take him back, it's a risk but one I'd for would be willing to take, if he isn't going to upset the dressing room, wasn't he supposed to be a moody *******?
                              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
