I'm not sure you can say that right midfield is 'out of position' as that is where he has played most of his professional football (as far as I can tell).

he has always been a Centre Mid, When he was doing a job on the right for Sunderland it was more there lack of options on the right and they had the likes of Colback and vaughan doing a half decent job in the centre.

His strength has always been his engine. I went to a Sunderland V Chelsea game he was Man of Match, Sure one of the Maccams I know said he ran more in that game than anyone had ever run in the history of the premier league. It was a phenomenal performance.

A couple of half decent performances (and that Blackburn game last season) in 60+ appearances does not mean he is up to it yet. He has not made it. He is far from making it. He has been woeful in 98% of his appearances to date and that's a fact.

And people keep banging on about him getting into good positions - well that counts for nothing if you are not scoring or assisting although he did "assist" the first Suarez goal against QPR. Jury is still out for me and I wouldn't be disappointed at all if he is sold.

But his recent improvement and contribution is most welcome.

Henderson has been getting better and better since the run of Xmas games.

Henderson was really good today. The team just looks miles better, more competitive, energetic and hungry when he's in the team. Just shows last weeks decision to bench him was wrong.

He's older than shelvey but he offers so much more than jonjo. He needs to score more goals though which he is capable of.
