I don't see why Can isn't to be honest. But i don't think the lack of a dedicated DM is our problem, a lack of quality/power/pace is. And Henderson does not deserve any position in the side imo.

I want us to have a midfielder who excels at keeping the ball. One who can plays short and simple, with a bit of positional nous when we lose the ball. I think Gundogan and to an extent Sahin used to do that for Dortmund during Klopp's era.

I don't think we need one. We need someone who can control the game, something which none of our current players can really do effectively for long spells. Paul Scholes comes to mind if that makes sense.

We need a holding player absolutely no doubt about that and I personally wouldn't play Wijnaldum or Lallana in the deeper positions

We threw goals away today but also our attacking players created nothing except shots from distance

Why the DM talk? I don't understand why you'd need one if the other team don't have the ball.

We didn't counter press effectively for both of their goals today and the suggestion is that a more defensively aware midfielder would help us in that respect.

Aha! That's the big trick - if you have ONE proper defensive minded midfielder then you can release the attacking players with more confidence should the opposition be set up to absorb and counter as was the case with Burnley today.

As things stand Hendo/Wij are both wasted - Hendo is an athlete not a footballer so playing him deep negates what he can do while exposing his obvious lack of control and vision, Wijnaldum I'd be using higher as well so rather than unbalancing the entire middle wouldn't it be better that Klopp play one proper DM. The big failing of Rodgers 2013/14 season was using Gerrard as the controller in a diamond, here we are in 2016/17 and Klopp has his own variation of this strategic error

Mainly as it's the usual topic when we don't win.

Getting the tempo right in midfield and not making stupid mistakes time and again would have helped though.
