I'm a big critic of Hendo in recent times but he did nothing wrong there. Gomez had the runner & Fab steps inside to cover. Gomez simply doesn't get tight enough to Vinicus, it's been a criticism aimed at him his whole career. Time and time again this has happened & time and time again we get punished for it.

Nah, there are two defenders on the guy, committing a third to stay on him would be nuts and leave other players unmarked, eg the world class striker that is Bemzema who’s making a run to receive the 1-2. This is petty knit picking.

We battered Real for large parts of that first half and Hendo was excellent and instrumental in that period. Mistakes cost us the game, because we are not totally back to our best. Finger pointing players like that makes no sense and makes social media and this place a bit of a cesspit for output of frustration rather than sensible discussions.Are we winning?Comment
