He cut the passing angle to Benzema, Fabinho is with Modric and that leaves Gomez & Trent to deal with Vinicius, which they don't.

Yep not his fault that he has been kept as a starter for a little bit too long.

Henderson in 2023 should be our savvy old pro a la Milner and Goretzka or Barella should have been our RCM starter for the last 18 months

FSG were meant to buy young sell old. But signing the oldies on longterm contracts has restricted what we can do in terms of replacements. All of them will fade away on expensive contracts with no resale value

Henderson is not the one who is picking him as a starter and not the one that has not replaced him.



If Henderson is a problem during games, then that is on Klopp.

If older players getting contracts is an issue, then that is also going to be on Klopp as he will be asked by the highers ups if certain players are worth keeping/paying more.




Not Henderson's fault he now moves almost as slowly as Nat Philips.

Well, I think he’s garbage and has been for a couple of years. He shouldn’t be at the club still and is only here because Klopp thought he was leaving and that Henderson could hobble along until then. But I don’t think he was doing much wrong defensively in the video above.

Secondly what he does on the pitch in his captain role seems to have dropped off as well to me. Even when he personally wasn't at his best he was shouting and telling people what to do where to go etc, that side of his game seems to have fallen away too.

No, I don't need to. The footage is perfectly clear.

That pass was never getting made, and if it did it was a non threatening pass. One step out and he'd have been right on him anyway. Running away from the space he was covering is what allowed that goal to happen.

Gambling to steal the ball is bad defense. In any sport. Just allows easy goals when you miss, which the majority of the time you will.
