Know very little about it myself.

I just googled the club, then googled it's owner and that basically lead back to the Ministry of Sport which then leads back to the Royal family there.

They aren't PIF funded and are supposedly a midtable club, for all Henderson's qualities he doesn't seem like the player to turn their fortunes around especially when competing against PIF backed clubs.

Also the suggestion that they will pay £700k a week wages but want him for free or for ~£10m as seems to be suggested is a piss take, something doesn't add up here

I agree as most of the other players offered big wages have gone there on a freebie

Henderson has been openly pro inclusion/diversity and has led players in many campaigns so this would be a full 180% turn - I don’t see him giving up his morals
The club in question are not one of the 4 owned by PIF and don’t have the same level of money as the ones Ronaldo, Benzema etc went to - there’s no way they can afford it
The news broke by Dominic King who helped him write his autobiography
Henderson has form in the past for running to the media (Ornstein) saying PSG and AM wanted him when he was chasing a big contract

I think the offer is being exaggerated, I think he’ll turn it down and everyone will say how great he is for refusing the money and he’ll spend the next two seasons with us on his huge wages

Big PR conspiracy theory from me and I might look like a massive plonker if he takes the money and goes

I’d be shocked if he goes. Jurgen won’t want him to, home grown quota issues, his previous statements etc.

I hate to say it, but you’re all going to have to put up with him for another couple of years yet. Still - I don’t think some of the folks who moan about him, really want him to go. They enjoy it too much.

I think he'll go tbh, this is a huge offer, and he'll peddle some **** about making a difference in Saudi or something like and we'll never hear from him again, or any other of the Saudi players and staff, hopefully.

I do not think he will go either and like you I do think that there will be a PR campaign as a result.

However I would see that as having more positives than negatives if it highlights what is going on with regards to image washing and would see that side of it as being more important than whatever back slapping was going on.

We'll manage if he leaves, Klopp is still the team's main leader and we have Virgil, Robbo, Thiago, Salah and Ali as experience players who will also play more regularly and of course local boy Trent. The last captains were Hendo, Milner and Virgil.

Next could be Virgil, Trent and Ali or something, a change of captaincy during the rebuild might just be beneficial as well, new voices etc.

Really loathe the governance entities in sport though that they are just sitting by and letting this Saudi takeover happen.

To be honest Klopp sees how important Henderson has been and is to our set-up. That's enough for me. He knows best.

I wouldn't think less of Jordan if he decided to take up such a ridiculous amount of money. It's mindbogglingly huge.
