Yes, I already knew their ages. What I meant was in footballing terms they're not young anymore nor is their price going to increase, best to sell now while the club can still get some kind of a half decent fee.

we'll still get decent fees if they stay another season or so and certainly with Downing he surely can't be as bad again this coming season and drive his price down any lower!

I can see some sense in Downing/Enrique playing LM in a 3-4-3. I can also see a role for Adam in that formation too.

I really don't think either Enrique, Adam or Downing are as bad as people think they are. Of those three, I had a bigger problem with Adam in CM in a 4-4-2.

But, and this is what I'm getting all creamed up about next season, we will have a tactical ethos being drilled into game plans. As much as we loved KD, I had my doubts about his modern knowledge of the game before we appointed him after Roy, we saw nothing of a plan B or even his best 11 last year. Motivation only gets you so far.

Oh, and on Henderson. Startled Rabbit in the headlights before he got run over, summed up his Spurs performance and took along time beyond that to look more of a natural LFC player. Him and Shelvey looked great.

I think Rodgers is exactly the right sort of personality to take away this "do what you do best" sort of match briefing for pass and move type football. Jordan looked lost last year. Give him some discipline instructions and we'll see a different player. IMO.
