Fsg will never sack Rodgers. As long as we sell one high profile player every 2 years it doesn't matter if we get into the champions league. If sterling gets sold for the £50m they want, then Rodgers will have generated 125m from the sale of 2 players in 2 seasons.

Next year it might be coutinho for another £50m. There's no sound financial reason for sacking him but maybe some footballing ones.

Brendan is on record saying he has the final say on all transfers. If he doesn't want to sign a particular player he doesn't have to.
