Brendan's in-game management is something that's always bothered me a bit, he's never really made many game-changing subs. But last night was great. He's getting better all the time.

I think a lot depends on the players at your disposal. This season is the first when we have a couple of good options on the bench most matches.

The one thing that I haven't really seen us do now is close down a game effectively. Particularly if we want to win in Europe in the medium/long term that is something we need to develop.

Still think we'll fall short for 4th. A good second half of the season will see BR get one more year. If we don't get CL next season, I think he'll have had enough time.

yeah i just don't feel we've got the squad to keep it going imo - the turn around has been great but we've fa cup games/uefa cup games and big league games coming thick and fast

for me we're still a cb/cm/striker short -


it's the quality of the squad overall - if Lovren/Allen/Borini/Ballotelli all had a massive massive turn around in their form/ability/consitency then maybe - but we just seem to be getting a bit stretched...

reserve keeper - injured
flanagan - **** knows
johnson - poor form, suffers with injuries
enrique - had a coupleof injuries and played poorly
lovren - looks ****
allen - is ****
markovic - still a litte lightweight
borini/balotelli/lambert not done enough or not good enough or not suited
sturridge - well i'd be surprised if he plays more than say 70%of remaining games, having just come back from injury
lucas out injured
gerrard looking leggy


i could go on


i just feel we're walking a very tight line - doing everything we can to keep on it and keep going, but it does feel like it could slip any minute and we'd be ****ed.



Personally - given how ****e we were for long period - i'd be ****ing made up with top 6 (providing it's a close fight to the end - i can handle finishing 6th and be say 3 points off 4th, but not 6th and be 20 pts of 4th) and win either the fa cup or the europa - that for me would be a pretty good season

You know what, I'm was all doom and gloom before christmas, I'll be Mr. Optimstic today. I think we are capable of anything, just look at the squad:

Mignolet - Regained his confidence and is better than ever.
Can - Is just growing and growing, could make his mark in midfield if let loose.
Skrtel and Sakho - Really coming along.
Henderson - Showing leadership and maturlity.
Sterling - Is adding goals to his game.
Coutinho - Is showing top form.
Markovic - Can play in a number of positions and is a good mix of dependable and exciting.
Ibe - Very exciting, unpredictable and like a new player.
Sturridge - Is back.
Lallana - Showed how good he is before getting injured.
Moreno - Keeps getting better.
Lucas - A rock, although suffers from soft thighs.
Balotelli - If he turns his form around he'll be like a new player.
Allen - Not good at anything but can be the cog when others are missing.
Johnson - Can replace anyone across the backline.
Gerrard - Well, I'll think of something later.

Brendan is doing better and the team will as well, we look good going forward will only get better. A good result against Southampton and City and we're back in the mix big time.
