Type of players he wants then..... Someone who he will actually know what to do with. I just want whatever he wants to do to come to the fore. I'd really like a season for him where he can actually show us what he's got now with no excuses.Originally posted by Lecter View PostIf we sign the players Rodgers wants then the season will be a complete ****ing ****festForwards.......

The thought of giving Rodgers more control is terrifying. The bloke is clueless.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostType of players he wants then..... You mean like Joe Allen & Borini?Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostType of players he wants then..... Someone who he will actually know what to do with. Or maybe even Lovren?Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

NonsenseOriginally posted by captainfog View PostThe thought of giving Rodgers more control is terrifying. The bloke is clueless.
Agree with Danny. If Rodgers is staying, then let him sign the players he wants, anything else is counterproductive
I'm personally not convinced by him either, but he's the manager, and unless the model changes to that of a DOF / coach relationship, he has to be able to set his team the way he wantsI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Its Catch 22Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostMore terrifying is a repeat of last season & signing players he doesn't know what to do with.

So as opposed to soft arse soundbites, what would you suggest? Someone other than the manager decides on who comes in?Originally posted by Lecter View PostYou mean like Joe Allen & Borini?

I dont rate any of the signings that are his (Allen, Borini & Lovren to name a few) and those that the committee have foisted on him are either not played until hes absolutely desperate (Sakho), played out of position (Can, Markovic) or just ignored (Lambert & Mario)Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I really, really wanted him out and I still do. BUT I think you are right, we should always sign the players the manager wants, otherwise he always has an excuse and can't be held 100% accountable.Originally posted by Fierce View PostNonsense

So if FSG want him to stay they have to back him, otherwise they are just making matters worse and setting him up for the slaughter.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Agreed, we should not let him anywhere near transfers. Just dump (the right) players on him and tell him to get on with it. After all its not just his future on the line, the scouts/committee will be bricking it to get it right too.Originally posted by Lecter View PostEither option is terrifying frankly

Last season Rodgers had money in the bank so did the bolded bit above. This season he's just handed over his last £25 chip to the house and can't afford to be so flippant. The man can coach some wonderful football when focused. Now he's nothing but focused.
One tit for another.
