    Agree to extent.

Imo he needs more time than just one season to properly form the judgement if his system of play works or not.

I tend to agree but barring this season being an unmitigated disaster I think he needs to be given two seasons.

Agree with both. But its certainly too soon to judge now.
        Oh I don't know.

It's clear what Rodgers wants in terms of style and type of player. He hasn't disrespected the club in anyway, but has shown he at least understands us. I haven't felt this positive since the day Dalglish was appointed caretaker after Hodgson got the boot.

He is very similar to Rafa. We know the type of players they want and the style they want to play. We know how they handle the press and the fans. Needs at least two seasons to put in the foundations and the third season will be the telling one.

I think we're slipping into the mentality of 'let's wait until the end of the season', which could lead to annual sackings. This is the first manager since Rafa in my opinion who has laid the cards down in terms of what he wants and what is needed at the club to win. Unless it is a horrific season, he warrants time.

We have a manager who demands hard working, young talent with technique, who will not tolerate low standards. I'm liking it thus far.

Not judging our Bren yet, or anyone else for that matter, but I'm surprised at the support he's given when KK wasn't given too long to get something sorted, particularly the way we played at times and the number of chances we had last term.

This is a valid point but I think the reason for this is that Kenny had the funds to make a significant difference but ended up finishing in the lowest league position in recent memory.

Most fans can see that he had been given a chance but ultimately sanctioned the signings of some very high profile let downs.

That might have something to do with the unmitigated disaster most of his signings were, the lack of a focused plan to change things, and in general what appeared to be a lack of adaption to football in 2012 shown under Kenny, as anything to do specifically with how we played and the chances we created last year.

I was terribly sad with the way the Kenny thing worked out, but his removal was 100% the right thing and so far I'm quite positive about how the new regime has been doing, even if we haven't seen that translated to instant results on the pitch.

True. The reason Kenny was sacked was ultimately his failings in the transfer market. In all fairness, if Rodgers spent the same/proportionate fees on lacklustre players, I don't think he would be awarded the same patience. So far his most expensive signing has proved to be a key player and money very well-spent. There were presumably myriad other factors that got Kenny the sack but all that money blown on a few poor signings is by and large what did it for him. I personally think Henderson was a worthwhile signing, even if his fee was exorbitant, and I have a (perhaps poorly judged) soft spot for Andy Carroll, but still...

Quite. But my argument would be that the 'chance' might not have been long enough for the 'high profile let downs' to gel as he planned.

Might have worked - might not. IMO he wasn't given a proper shot.

Tbh i don't know how long is long enough these days, doesn't it depend on transfer budget too ?

Most people thought Roy was given too long, and that was after one day.

Hodge was a no brainer, one game was too mamy

Kenny, should have only seen the first season out

Rodgers, should be given up to 3 years, providing he is showing continuous improvement

I thought there'd be a wave of confidence and optimism after the last few performances - we're playing some really good, attractive, flowing football and cutting out the individual errors that cost us points previously.

I think I'm becoming a BJ fan and not just loyally supporting the new manager.
