    And who is Nick Miller?

Maybe he's right about all three. But it's easy to be not wrong when your decisions are never tested and I don't see any argument in that beyond "this is what I think". For example, Rodgers shouldn't buy Sturridge because he's not that good which is why Rodgers shouldn't buy him.

Mick the Miller would be more convincing.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

removing all the weak links makes us stronger

          Exactly.

I expect I'm missing something here but to me a good article is not the same as an article that tells us what we already thought.

who is going to come along and suddenly remove a cloak of journalistic invisibility allowing us all to share the stunning revelations that we have all been missing

i dont think there is anything that we are not seeing
maybe just having all our waffle put 'out there' makes it more true

Amazing that these thoughts put in print appear to be something everyone can see, everyone except the one person who should be seeing it?

I can live with playing Gerrard but he'd be in my front 3,no idea why he hasn't been tried there.I'd also not touch Sturridge with a barge pole especially at the prices touted. If he's the best our scouts can muster I'll be worried for the future

Not that Rodgers would agree but he's getting more stuff wrong than right. And has done since he arrived.

FSG should have stuck to their original decision on appointing an experienced general manger/dof alongside a young upcoming manager.

And which manager might have accepted that? Rodgers didn't. Would Martinez?

And it wouldn't help us tactically. That's our biggest problem right now imo.
                      Oh I don't know.

Plus it's no guarantee of anything if you get the wrong man in. Like Commolli.

One man we looked at for those roles has pitched up at Man City with no problems between him and their experienced coach,he also had no problems at his previous club with an excellent manager so why should we be letting lads with no real CV in the game be calling the shots on the way forward?

And yes that applies to FSG themselves too.

We never did hear who was advising them all thoughout the recruitment process.

I think they should have got experienced football men in and let them dictate the way forward.Indeed we even lost one such type when Segura left.

I like Rodgers but I'd much prefer someone above him with an international footballing pedigree helping out.

I remember at the start of the season everyone on this forum bar a few pretty much agreed that this season would be one of mixed fortunes. Bad results were also expected. As was a bedding in period for the new manager and his players.

A lot of people are not letting that happen now. Far to quick to judge on the back of some bad results.

From what I can see we are doing well in games, and not finishing them off. It's positive from what I can see. I certainly can't call him a fraud.

What would have been done differently if they had, other than paying another huge wage?
