Pointless bit of devil's advocacy here....but I saw us playing some really good, attractive, flowing football under kk.

Lots of short memories here - we played some blinders last season - just couldn't get the ball in the net.

    That's all really.

Might have worked - might not. IMO he wasn't given a proper shot.

              Maintenant, il ne fait rien!
If i was the owners I am not sure I would really want to give anyone another shot after seeing 55m spent on Downing and Carroll.

Brenno always says 'it's about 2 things' for him! He is also fairly touchy in a way & likes to say ok alot too! Just a few things i've noticed of him watchin Being Liverpool.

I was terribly sad with the way the Kenny thing worked out, but his removal was 100% the right thing and so far I'm quite positive about how the new regime has been doing, even if we haven't seen that translated to instant results on the pitch.
The strange thing about Dalglish's time was how well things worked and seemed to be planned early compared to the end of last season.

I think that both Dalglish and Rodgers have failed to address the two areas that have been an issue for a while now: goalscoring and midfield control. To be fair to Rodgers Allen shows signs of being excellent at the latter but needs a proper DM alongside him. The decision by the club in the last two transfer windows not to bring in specialist backup for Lucas really baffles me. It is clear that both Dalglish and Rodgers have attempted to solve the goalscoring issue no matter how ineffectually.

In fairness, Rodgers has had a small amount of money in today's standards to turn it around.

He had hardly anytime with the players to get them up to scratch prior to the start of the season and little time to really assess who fits and who doesn't.

I expect to improve steadily as the season goes on and if so I think that will prove the players are listening. I suspect in January he will be in a much better position to know where he needs players and I think we'll see a bit more movement in/out than normal.

Come February 1st I think we'll be all set for a strong finish in the league. Hopefully it will make a difference in the league that will be worthwhile. Either way though, I'm positive about the future
                        Forwards.......

Rodgers has spent £30 million-ish in fees

Yes we will have recouped some money in but other than Adam the rest will be nominal fees (if anything at all!!)

In Newcastle terms 30m could probably buy you a champions league spot. Solution: Let's sign Alan Carrs Dad.
