Was our manager for probably my favourite ever time watching Liverpool.
It's unfortunate that it had to happen like this but hopefully things will look up from now.
Thanks Brendan and all the best for the Sunderland job...nah im joking im sure he'll go on to be a good manager elsewhere, just happened to be not enough for us in the end.The times they are a changin'.

Ian Wright in talking sense shocker....
"Despite his 'Luis Suarez' season where they finished second, his signings and tactics haven't worked. It went steadily down hill.
"He had run out of time, it is unfortunate for him but I don't think Liverpool owed him that time, they gave him a lot of money to spend.
"The club are nowhere near where they want to be. A club of Liverpool's size do not need to answer to anyone. They have acted swiftly and decisively, they had to, there are people out there who can come in."What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

A shame, looked to have so much potential for a while, but ended in disappointment. Always sad seeing a manager ending like this, but a change is needed and hopefully it will give some confidence and energy back to the team.
Good luck to Brendan, hopefully he will get a shot somewhere else soon again, as there is potential there.
Defo havn't deserved all the **** thrown at him lately.

But 13/14 what a season, incredible football and the best, most exciting football in my lifetime, if only we never blew it with 3 games to go.
I was saying similar here when the news broke - I don't really like the triumphalism that goes with him losing his job, he is a bloke trying to do a good job after all, he didn't want to be sacked!Originally posted by Chris View PostGood luck Brendan! 13/14 was so much fun, some of the stuff we were doing often had me laughing not just celebrating, it was madness.
Still think he can be an excellent coach somewhere, a break will do him good and judging by his pre LFC time he was travelling around the world learning from different coaches so a bit more of that, learning from his time here etc he'll be alright.
13/14 was the best fun I have had as an adult watching Liverpool, my son and I were agog going to the game that season. I hope he does well in the future, because ultimately he seems a decent man.

I don't think he's helped himself in the interviews. I doubt that FSG were too impressed when he's started making excuses with reference to losing top players when they've given him £300m to reinvest.
Seems like a really nice guy, a complete egotist though imo and that has been part of his downfall. He'll be well rewarded, but still leaves a bad taste in the mouth even though I've never been convinced.SakhoPotatoes
