The Gerrard stat is amazing, frankly, and we've not had many more than two out at a time.It was mentioned somewhere that training and recovery regimes now in place are not generic for the whole squad. Apart from general fitness training all players have their own specific regime.Originally posted by Captain Stu View PostAgger too - never played as many consecutive games as he has recently.
Great to see something more tailored to the players requirements and levels of fitness is working. Agger and Gerrard are reaping the benefits of this

Originally posted by AnfieldForever View PostI've just noticed that we've conceded the least amount of home goals in the league this season. 10 in all.
If you look at our (home) losses, United, Arsenal, & Villa it's only the latter you could actually hand on heart say we should have won.
Apart from Villa, the last team to score at Anfield in the league was Newcastle (4th Nov) and we've scored 16 goals without reply since then.
I don't think we're a million miles away from competing again.
I’ve been saying similar myself and arguing that we don’t need the wholesale changes that others are suggesting.
Our home form is very good and if our last two away performances are anything to go by we should be on the right track soon enough.
That Vila result was just completely out of the blue though.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

We had back-to-back wins before the Villa game and some of the players were talking like we were back. I think the Villa result was pretty much down to complacency and just thinking we'd win. That's up there with the worst result of our season, should never have happened and we should have hammered them.Originally posted by RedReet View Post

I have a fear that somethnig similar may happen with West Brom but I hope not

Norwich home and away this season.Originally posted by Alex View PostI was discussing Man City at the weekend with my brother last night, and we came to the conclusion that it was our best performance since Man Utd/Real Madrid in the 09/10 season.
Can anyone think of a better one?Oh I don't know.

When we played Arsenal off the park last season at Anfield yet somehow lost the game.Originally posted by Alex View PostI was discussing Man City at the weekend with my brother last night, and we came to the conclusion that it was our best performance since Man Utd/Real Madrid in the 09/10 season.

So no, I cannot think of a 'better' one because a great performance should not lead to a defeat. However, it was a memorable performance and immensely satisfying to completely outfootball Arsenal."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

They've given plenty of good teams a good game this season and we have absolutely mullured them twice, so I disagree.Originally posted by Alex View PostNorwich are turd. I think its up there, but the games I mentioned feel bigger/better because of the quality of the opposition.Oh I don't know.
