Not sure you would put Tottenham in that list, not traditional big spenders of that sort of cashOriginally posted by Arn View PostNot enough to take us back to the top. The clubs above us will most probably spend even more than that.
Man C, Man U, Chelsea and Tottenham will most probably spend at least £40m net each.
Then you have Arsenal.
£50m net may take us back to the top four. No chance £20m net will do that, no chance._____________________________________

Well that's the trick isn't it, getting more value for each £ you spend and selling for more £'s than the value they offer the team. In fact that's the principle of any business. If you do that you make a profit and in football terms you punch above your weight (arguably what Moyes has achieved). If not they you're us or Newcastle.Originally posted by Arn View Postand that would first weaken the team £40m.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Sturridge and Coutinho is a very good start but he must do at least four or five deals like that this summer.
Our rivals can afford to make some mistakes in the transfer market because they already have strong squads. Rodgers can't afford to make mistakes.

I think next season we need to jump up to have around 70-75 points in the league a long with a decent cup run to consider the season as progress.
That would be a good improvement on this seasons points tally I suspect and will indicate we are getting there.
Rodgers has a three year contract and for him success would be taking us into the champions league at the end of his final season. If we get there sooner then great.Forwards.......
