That would be a good improvement on this seasons points tally I suspect and will indicate we are getting there.

Rodgers has a three year contract and for him success would be taking us into the champions league at the end of his final season. If we get there sooner then great.
That would put us solidly in 3rd if we're to use this season as a reference point! Think that might be a little ambitious but I hope we can achieve those heights

There's only a few points separating 3rd and 5th so it's not crazy.

Interesting Mancini should raise Brendan Rodgers' name yesterday (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...ellegrini.html).

Rodgers went to Rome to meet Mancini when he was Swansea manager as a potential assistant. I hear RM left him waiting 4hrs & spoke 30mins.

Mancini'd already picked Platt. Maybe the reference to Rodgers was his mea culpa about how ill mannered everyone in football can be. Inc him.

Because Txiki Begiristain's meeting with Pellegrini's agent is certainly ill timed. Mancini must be spitting but he can't really complain.

Yes, but there are 14 points currently separating us from 3rd, and 20 points separating us from a 75-point finish. Haha. Personally, I think it's a tall ask for next season but who knows what can happen!

Last time there was Pellegrini speculation did it not turn out that his agent also works for a lot of excellent players?

It does look bad for Mancini though.

If Mancini don't get sacked this summer then it could be classed as a miracle. One of the strangest things that ever happened. Like DBF not blaming the ref after a defeat.

The reason that Mancini mentioned Rodger's name could of course be that he is the back up option if Pellegrini don't sign or that they wanted Rodgers and he turned them down and Pellegrini was the back up option.

It seems we need two goals today to record our best ever away goal tally in the Premier League, currently on 35 goals which is one less than the 08/09 season. (23 scored last season)

Good to see we've improved our goal scoring just need to cut our the daft mistakes at the back and improve upon our defensive play overall.

Two of our biggest rivals are going through managerial changes. We on the other hand are on the front foot.
