His post match press conference was a joy to listen to.

Once again, he's sticking with principles, full of conviction in his ideas, and keen to stress the positives.

An absolute leader who is proving to be a beacon of light against Mourinho's dark arts today. Humble, and always thinking about the club.

Guys - I'm not a massive fan of 'rules and regulations' but I think we are sailing close to the wind by discussing Brendan's personal life. No need to upset the mods

Only messing about, nothing serious. I'll get back on topic now.

It amy not be this year, but it is only a matter of when Brendan wins us the league, not if.

OK. Brendan was really naive yesterday, he took his eye off what was needed which was a draw. He won't be remembered for Kevin Keeganesque tactics but he would be for winning the league.

He's not tactically inept but we all knew what Chelsea would do and only had to match their negativity.

I'm really annoyed that he got played.

                          Rant over

He could have played for draw. Its hindsight isnt it. But like he said he doesnt want to play football that way. His way got us in a position we probably had no right to be in.

If Gerrard had not slipped, everything could have turned out very different, that was a simple mistake. It's very easy to point the finger and blame in hindsight.

The Gerrard mistake changed the entire game.

Had we gone in 0 - 0 at half time then the chances are the game would have ended 0 - 0.

We'd have sat back in the second half and invited a reluctant Chelsea side onto us.

The goal meant we had to chase.
