Thanjk you.

Every time the manager's position is available, there is the inevitable shout for Rafa by some fans.... followed by the inevitable arguments. Had some great memories when he was here but it got to the stage where it was the right thing for him to go. He is a good european manager but conflict does seems to follow him. Rather look to something new and different than something that has been done already and in the end wasn't clearly working.
Besides he managed Chelsea..ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!
No, him being sacked was completely and totally wrong and still casts a dark shadow over this club. Every single bit of conflict he had was for the right reasons in support of the club and its supporters. Clearly wasn't working? He had us as constant top 4 finishers and among the best teams in Europe. And he had one single season where the ownership cut support out from under him where things went to hell and those scum used it as an excuse to toss him for a ****ing yes man.
Dom King is one of the close ones with Brendan, or has been.
Not sure on a reason to go but he seems to have a slopey shoulder attitude. Happy to take plaudits when things go well but when they go bad he loves a scapegoat, be it a player or fuelling rumours on player recruitment
Best possible scenario for me is that they sack him and put me in the job on an 8 year deal. I'll get found out soon enough but the severence will enable me to buy a yacht and disappear from the shame of it
I'd be very surprised given Brendans view on a DoF that he didn't insist on the final say for all transfers
I remember him specifically saying in the Press before a new deal that no one would be signed unless he gave the okay.
You know what, I think he is actually a good coach. Not of a defence mind but that should be addressed to an extent with his coaching set up. The way some of the lesser players played last season shows it. Look at Flanagan for example.
Like managers before him though, I think he lost his way when he got his new deal. Maybe it went to his head. But he has moved away from almost every idea that brought him success. Giving youngsters a go, rewarding good performances, picking sides on merit and allowing his players to play.
I dont even think the summer signings are that bad. Bar Lovren of course. He just isnt getting the best from his squad. Almost every team now plays with pace but he has played a large part of the season wanting to play 'death by football'
His scapegoating of players is very poor. Never known a manager do it to such an extent. I dont see him turning it round at all. FSG are delaying the inevitable
he's obviously a bright man and a good coach. He must see our deficiencies like everybody else - he must see we're wide open at the back and there's too much space between our defenders.
he doesn't seem to be addressing it. Is it a fear of losing games that's picking his team rather than being bold and self assured. Too stubborn
He has tried to change things but still hasn't the bottle to go the whole way which is annoying
Taking Lucas out of the side yesterday and playing Allen there was lunacy of the highest order. Every manager has favourites and Allen seems to be his
I remember when Markovic was signed it was said he had the potential to play as a striker. At a time when we've been desperate in that department he hasn't played him there once.
If he's going to play Balotelli he has to play alongside another forward and at the moment that should be Markovic imo (unfortunately he's obsessed with playing one up top unless forced to change it late in games).
A front three of Balotelli, Markovic and Sterling could be pretty good with Henderson and Lallana behind. Gerrard to come on after an hour to replace Sterling. On present form Coutinho, Allen and Lovren shouldn't be playing.
A frustrating and irritating manager... but there again so was Rafa
He still should get the rest of this season and then John Henry and co. can make a proper evaluation of where things stand then.
I've been a supporter of his, but bottom line is he says yes to the guys that come in.
What is more disconcerting is the number of times he's probably said no to our scouts that have maybe picked out 5 budding Sturridges. The man is a good coach but he should never, ever be allowed anywhere near transfers.
We just found out the hard way that the DoF (a decent one, not Levy or Commolli) is the right way.
