Markovic will split our fans much like Smicer I reckon. Personally, I like what I have seen.

Surely everyone thinks Smicer was **** overall despite occasional moments of brilliance.

That pass to Balotelli yesterday was class. Clearly talented. Too bad it was to Balotelli.

Going back to Rodgers, he's always come across as very calm and in control. Maybe this will be his downfall as I don't think the Summer was thought out well and he probably overrated the team he had at his disposal.

I never thought he was ****, no. Well, maybe at times.

Markovic does look very promising though and he has shown little glimpses of what he is capable of. Quick with the ball at his feet and can spot a pass, time to take Coutinho out and let him play that role.

            Smicer was far from ****.

Unfortunately, whenever he played his way into the side he'd pick up a niggling injury and be sidelined for several weeks. He wasn't helped by being bought as a replacement for Steve McManaman who was vastly superior as a player.

I don't get the criticism of Lallana at all, he's been one of our brightest players imo, not outstanding obviously but in the context of being a new player in a ****e side he's done very well.
What Lallana has and Coutinho doesn't is an end product, Lallana scored at Leicester, his pass to Lambert v Palace and his pass to Sterling yesterday for the 1v1 before Rooney scored to name but 3 in the last few weeks.
He's dependable, a '7/10' every week and 'Premier League proven' yet criminally underused all season.

I'm with Lec in that Rodgers is frustrating the life out of me, Balotelli did well yesterday, hit the target with all 3 attempts but surprise surprise he had a partner up front with him.

Nailed on Balotelli will play as a lone frontman at Bournemouth and be ****e.

Things cant really go much worse at the moment all over the pitch, so why not try it

I like him, very talented player. Just a bit too lightweight and suffered a significant number of niggling injuries to get a long clear run of games. Scored some important goals for us.

Personal highlight was his late, late winner against Chelsea in the league as I was in the crowd that day and Anfield went ballistic.

                        It's piss takingly tedious.

Rafa isn't ever coming back to lfc while FSG are in charge, go debate that in a Rafa thread.

Could the debate about Rafa and his merits be moved to the Rafa thread please?

Keep this to Rodgers and his current position at the club.

Going to be difficult to not mention another manager when talking about the current one who happens to be failing miserably. Rafa was still being mentioned last year when we were odds on favourites for the title. That's like asking people not to mention Suarez in any LFC related thread- it's going to come up in conversation.

Should we also not mention Klopp in this thread, as the chances of him coming to us are smaller than he who cannot be named

People don't fill several pages at a time with mentions of Klopp.

Not the biggest Rafa fan but dont think he should be taken out the debate or not mentioned here when other managers are. He could get a lot out of the players we currently have imo

Mention Rafa as an alternative, that's fine. Completely pointless mind as it isn't ever going to happen.
Talk about Klopp, De Boer, hell Alan Curbishley for all I care it's just boring as **** that posters repeat over and over and over again what happened with Rafa 9 years ago, 7 years ago, H&G etc...

Living in the past, Liverpool FC and it's fans biggest problem.

Theres no way I'd continue to stay up into the stupid hours of the morning to watch a Rafa side again. My time zone outright refuses him.
