Thank you Brendan for getting us back to how we should be playing. I was worried when he lost his bottle, but he's got his mojo back and we look a far better side. Always better to be flying in the second half of the season. Huge mountain to climb, but you know what - I think we can do it.

Reassess 1st Feb and see where we are & who we've bought.
    Forwards.......

Fingers crossed he has turned a corner. Bin Lovren off in jan robbie keane style and get a proper defender in. Buy a striker and get sturridge back and we'll be flying. I'd rather have torresback than Balloteli.

Another sign of Rodgers tailoring his approach to the players at his disposal. First he builds his team around Suarez, then, when that formation struggles with the players at his disposal, he tweaks the set up once again.

He's clearly a very good manager, but as fickle fans who demand results we often forget how long these tweaks can take to get from the training ground to the pitch.

I would really miss this exciting brand of football that only he can make us play, regardless of the quality of players we have (i.e. **** defence and **** strikers). However, this season he has been too stubborn with his favourites and it became too obvious.

Only injuries to Johnson, Lovren and dare I say it Allen have got us playing better again and these could be considered lucky rather than inspired. Granted binning Mig was a good idea.

Playing Sterling at left back with 2 left footed left backs on the bench after bringing on Lambert who thrives from crosses (and didn't get 1) was a masterstroke.

Take Coutinho or Hendo off for Moreno, Moreno wide left and Sterling on the right and we stretch Arsenal and also get crosses in for Lambert.

I'm pleased we're pressing high and playing better attacking football but still think there's an element of luck and panic about it

A deserved draw but ****ing hell. In 2 and a half seasons the defence is still awful. Wont win a jot with the way we defend. Pure and simple

There are positives though Sarb. The last three games have shown an intensity in our game which we had last season.

The defence is a shambles, but at least not everything is doom and gloom in terms of our attacking play.

Green shoots of recovery and all that, but out of the three crunch games we went out of the CL and got one point off Man utd and Arsenal. Pretty dismal. We have to win against Burnley, no excuses about performance.

Oh definite signs of improvement in attack. Nothing in defence. You have to be good at both to be successful and win trophies.

Neville said it well in commentary. You dont have to brilliant in attack to score against us. We dont even defend to a Championship level

Who the **** cares what that inbred cunt says?

Its obvious Rodgers has realised its better to attack than defend with the current players to pick from. We were conceding and doing sod all in attack,so now we have progressed to conceding and creating lots. Next step, keep conceding but put the ball in the net. Winning trophies? Semi finals of the league cup is a decent position to be in. You need lots of money to consistently challenge for titles, that isn't us and won't be for the foreseeable. Arsenal never challenge for top honours. Basically stop always looking on the miserable side of life.

Its worrying that arsenal were absolutely dreadful yet still scored 2 goals at anfield. We just need to tighten up at the back.
