[QUOTE=BobTheCharmer;3033887]Top 10 clubs in the premier league. Name me two experienced football heads from each. Its bull****. David Dein & Peter Kenyon were the two with highest profile and that was a while ago oh and the guy at Utd that left.[/QUOTE
Got experienced managers though. Mourinho, Pelligrini, Wenger, Van Gaal as an example. Look at the coaches at Utd and Arsenal. Winners
Never said it was all down to Chief Execs or DoFs. The top clubs have at least a person who has been around and has experience. We have people who are all are pretty raw and inexperienced.

A better question might be to ask for names who were already experienced at a high level when they took on roles at a top ten club. Would imagine that list would be even shorter.
And being experienced at big clubs is no guarantee of anything anyway. Comolli being a prime example of this.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Few big games coming up for him, if we can start a run of good results starting on Boxing day we can still salvage something from this season.
A few weeks back there was no sign of life in us but since United we've seen more creativity and glimpses of what we had last year, albeit not the same level, we were very impressive against Arsenal in general.
Its still a big ask considering our form but 2/3 wins on the bounce in very achievable fixtures and we wouldn't be a millions miles off 4th. In a cup semi final, with 2 other cups to go at.Vive la France

Them being 'Novice' last season didn't matter. So why does it now?
Not performing on the pitch is very different to what's going on at boardroom level. We are just fine IMO. No obvious signs of failure.
The transfers and level of players in is the problem.
Rodgers has been in the game as a manager for 4 Years before us, and now another 3 almost. So 7 years. Before that he was a Coach for 10. 3 of those years alongside Mourinho. Rafa was in the game 7 Years when he won the Title at Valencia. Experience is relative.*Except Michael, who died.

not only is rodgers one man on the committee, he also says he has the final say so he must then be in [almost] full agreement that we want that player. ultimately he is responsible. any bollox talk that any particular **** up is down to the committee [so he can walk away with no **** smell on him] is just him trying to dodge the flak.Originally posted by Alex View PostPersonally think we need to stop separating Rodgers from the Committee. He's on it, so he's as much a part of their choices than anyone. They live and die together IMO
Originally posted by Sarb View PostPersonally think that was down to FSG. They have the right ideas but the people they appoint leave a lot to be desired really. Comolli had a history of overpaying. His appointment was always a worry.
Their idea of a DoF was a good one. Think they wanted De Boer who wasnt interested in moving at that time. Martinez I think didnt want to work under a Sporting Director type which Pep Segura was rumoured going to be. Then Rodgers came along and said he wouldnt work under one. Apparently Van Gaal was lined up and wanted all his own coaches etc. Think its the only way it works, the DoF brings in his own people.
Rodgers has some good coaching attributes. But the whole coaching structure is a bit average. Rodgers is inexperienced, Mike Marsh as a first team coach is hardly experienced and dont know what Pascoe does. They needed an old head in there at a big club. Dont think Ayre has done a lot to justify being the main man at a club as big as Liverpool either.
if you were the club owners and were going to give the job to rodgers then surely it would have made more sense to put in place a DoF to ensure a smoother settling in period so the young, inexperienced manager has a steady hand to guide him.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostAs FSG knew **** all about football it would have made sense to bring in a DOF. Then give that man the job of hiring a coach and building a team. If they didn't want that they should have signed a manager and given him total control.
This meeting in the middle rubbish is a joke. Personally I'd give Rodgers total control, but if they want they could easily stipulate some parameters.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Or if rumors are to be believed we would not have had Sturridge and Coutinho and we would never have challenged for the league with Clint Dempsey leading the line. I dont think there is anything wrong with the committee system. We just seem to have the wrong personnel to run the system.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostAs FSG knew **** all about football it would have made sense to bring in a DOF. This meeting in the middle rubbish is a joke. Personally I'd give Rodgers total control, but if they want they could easily stipulate some parameters. I just find it ridiculous to think that he's asking for Ashley Williams but is given Sakho and then Lovren.
Now if I'm rating each CB I obviously rate Sakho higher. But if Rodgers wants Williams, give him that player and let him build his team as he sees fit. Instead we've spent ÂŁ40m on two CB's. Neither of which would likely start in a back 4 on current form. Rodgers also wanted Vorm. Again, I don't think he's great. But he's clearly a player Rodgers could've done with. He wanted him prior to Mignolet, and he wanted him in the summer when he was available.
Now you can call it as him making us into Swansea mark II, but we'd have spent far less money and we'd have a ball playing CB who's a leader and a keeper comfortable with the ball at his feet. In other words, exactly what we need. You then have the foundations in place in which to build a team. IMO, had we signed those two players the previous summer, we'd have won the league.

Did we change the pitch in the preseason or is it exactly the same as it was when we finished second and blitzed everyone.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostNot sure what the issue is about the pitch comment.
It's true. It wasn't really used to excuse anything. Am I missing some sort of scandal here? Someone enlighten me!

**** me Alex, he must love this place. The urge to correct you that 'anymore' is two words must have eaten him upOriginally posted by Alex View PostOk, consider this a warning.
All I see you do on here is put others down you perceive to be beneath you. It's counterproductive to a community feel.
Anymore of it will result in a bit of time off. You may not think you are being like it, but you are and it's getting incredibly tiresome.
Happy Christmas

I bet he wouldn't have said what he did to RoboKops face otherwise he'd have it knocked off.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

On the subject of Vorm.
If we had him we'd have 3 keepers. He would have to Vorm his way into the number 1 spot.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
