What budget is Rodgers working too and what do FSG expect from him?
How much has he saved off the wage bill?


Nothing personal against you rich but it is completely pointless even debating it because unless we know what Rodgers has been asked to do how can we speculate whether FSG think he is doing a good job.

For all we know FSG may have said we don't care about the league position Brendon, have this year free, you've got to bring the average age of the squad down to 25, get x million off the wage bill per week and really push the academy so that young players will sign for us as they believe they'll get a chance.

If that's the brief then he's done all asked of him.

We don't know so all this idle speculation is simptimatic of Liverpool fans in the last 3-4 years, desperate for something to moan about.

A managers jobs is too get the best out of the players under him... at the end of the season we will see if Brendan Rodgers has managed to do so. I'd be very much surprised if any business were willing to just write off a year.

IMO with our current crop.. we should be finished no less than 6th or 7th.

All this negativity just does my head in, H&G **** us, Hodgson and Kenny were ****e in the league (apart from Kenny's 1st 6 months) spend fortunes on bang average players.

Have to admit that Agger's mistakes are finding their way round to being Brendan's fault with some people though. They are basic individual mistakes, against Arsenal, City and WBA. 7 points at least.

I dont buy this 'So and so cost us X amount of points' For one thing, he scored the only goal of the game against Southampton. So he has won us 3 there. But winning us points never seems to be taken into consideration.

I've not seen that myself. But then again, I've not been in the post match nor Agger threads.

I just don't think it's a coincidence that two CBs who've been mainly very good, were last season's two best players - including Skrtel winning our POTY - have both suddenly turned to **** under Rodgers. IMO his system leaves them hugely exposed. Yes Agger's made basic mistakes at set pieces but they are exposed by our lack of defensive nous and organisation, by the fact it's panic stations when we lose the ball, the fact we're so wide open, so stretched. I just don't think it can be dismissed as some sort of uncanny coincidence.

IMO his system leaves them hugely exposed. Yes Agger's made basic mistakes at set pieces but they are exposed by our lack of defensive nous and organisation, by the fact it's panic stations when we lose the ball, the fact we're so wide open, so stretched. I just don't think it can be dismissed as some sort of uncanny coincidence.

I said this. We should have signed some cover for him. His role is pivotal to how we want to play but we're demanding too much of him after two bad injuries. Should have been helped out

That was not the case in any recent game though, wba's second is different as it was very late when we had completely pushed up to try and get an equaliser. But for the most part I don't think this is true in our recent performances. I fact till they scored from a set piece we covered WBA brilliantly.
