Thanjk you.

I think Rodgers realises he's going to be judged on this season's performance, year 2 of 3 and since the stated aim from Henry is top 4 Rodgers probably doesn't believe it's fair to judge him if he can't sign the players he clearly wants for whatever reason.

@DAVEPETHARD Its hard to disagree with that mate. Fine balance between overpaying & being too cautious.
Jay definitely hinting all is not well in the camp. Lets not be so quick to dismiss what Jay said either because he is one of the reliable ones out there.
I'm not convinced there is such a thing, but regardless, his initial tweet said it was "clear from the press conference". Having read the quotes, I don't think it particularly is any such thing. Frustration at not landing your targets does not necessarily indicate some major rift in the club.

Mine angry and defrauded young?
I must be missing something, how does this translate to "an unhappy relationship with FSG?". Describing us as maybe "too ambitious" hardly indicates he's not being supported, just that we're having a hard time getting the best quality players to the table. Natural frustration but more than that just seems like unfounded conjecture. Unless there's more I've not read?
"We think over the course of the summer we've been very ambitious. The attempt was to get in players to improve the team, some might say too ambitious but this is Liverpool Football Club, we're trying to get the best players we possibly can.
"As I said, it's one where if I can't get them it, we've just got to move on. We've got 11 days to go, we have to do anything we possibly can because it hasn't changed. If you're going to claim the league, you've got to have quality and you have to get the best players into your club to help you climb.
"That's our aim. So of course if you don't get the player you want, there's always that disappointment, you can't dwell on it.
"There's still a chunk of the window left and we did some business earlier on in the window, which was very good, and now if we can finish off in these remaining days and get some players in, it would help us and end a very good window for us."

Unless a number of journalists i.e. Barrett (who should be more explicit rather than write opinionated articles on our spending) shed light on the matter, then it's nonsense.
If there were any issues, then a number of journalists would include a couple of sentences like they did last year when we didn't get Dempsey (briefed away from initial press conference).
Some quotes from him coming out tonight. Twitter may be misinterpreting but it is saying we missed out on Willian for financial reasons and club needs to sort it. Indicating he is not receiving financial backing from FSG

Spurs and subsequently the chavs bid more than us, I don't really see the issue? We bid close to £30m on one player and have had 2 bids of close to £25m on another couple of players so I wouldn't say Rodgers isn't getting financial backing we just can't attract the marquee players
Or it could be a statement of fact without any malicious intent - a team valued him more highly than we did and was willing to pay more for him than we were. Which is disappointing, since we would've loved to have him at the original price.
