It was only last week that Rodgers was lambasted for another of his press conferences. That time he was too cheery and too chatty. Now he's a grumpy ****er who's picking fights with the media.

I prefer the grumpy ****er picking fights. Reminds me of Kenny.

I have absolutely no problem with our manager showing some fight.

Yeah, I don't mind him being rattled. I don't want him to go as far as Kenny, but he's blasted for being cheery, now he's blasted for being cold. I guess my point was that posters are finding fault at anything and everything.

It doesnt take a great manager until 7 league defeats and December to realise he can actually play a pressing game with the players he has. And he should wait until his new system has worked on a good PL side before wanting praise.

A load of fans were saying for a good few months that we needed to press the ball high up, play our pacier midfielders because they could.
Lambert played up front on his own for So'ton and Balo has played up front alone for teams in the past. But I think the formation we were playing did isolate them. As I said, Poor from Brendan. But hopefully he learns by his mistakes. He's a young manager and he'll not be perfect.

As for the formation, me personally, I'll judge him when we've got Sturridge or another similar striker in the team and fit. Come the end of the season we will know if Rodgers has it in him to cope with a crisis and power through it and move on.
              Forwards.......

He gets stick when he talks bollocks. Whether that is a 4 min press conference or a 40 min one. Nothing to do with whether he is grumpy or not.

Injuries have forced him to pick his best team now. Dont remember him wanting credit for 3-4-3 after the Utd game. He needs to get a result v Arsenal not Bouremouth for him to be able to take the high ground

He had players to play a high pressing high tempo game. Doing it now. Refused to budge for months and we went out the CL. Let's see how we get on

Yep, it's daft, one fool was berating him the other week with "the transfers are all his work" and a week later the same idiot is now saying "Lambert, Lovren etc are his, wanted Vorm etc" "Costa, Sanchez etc were wanted by the committee.". Make your mind up!!

I believe that a manager should carry out the press conferences in a professional manner. The press will build you up quickly and knock you down just as quick. They're not your mates.

He didn't refuse. He had his own ideas and went with them. His ideas failed. I'm sorry, but we praised him last year and were delighted he signed a new contract. For whatever reason we signed players that didn't suit or weren't good enough. Once again. Jury's out still on most of them in fairness.

But I watched us last season and we had a clear way of playing. Brendan has spoken about that recently and said how he'd had to change. The reason for that was a poor transfer window. And as it's a collective that make the decisions, it's a collective that gets the blame. Rodgers shoulders part of that. I don't care who signed who the club call it a committee so I'll treat it as such.

Either way, mistakes were made. But once they're made, I'm sorry, but you do have to try and fit these players in. If they make mistakes you have to stick with them. You just have to hope they click until it's crystal clear nothing is going to change. IMO the mistakes of the committee cost us the Champions League and cost us a lot of points in the league.

Clearly, he should've changed things sooner. But I understand why he had to try and fit expensive buys in.

Bang on post. Everyone on here should take note, read, digest and if it hasn't sunk in, read again. If you still fail to understand, feel free to jump off the nearest cliff.

Don't care if he's grumpy or cheery to be honest. My point is that he's trying to play clever psychological ****, I think it was a deliberate fake moody persona he was portraying and doing that off the back of a win against a Championship side with a clearly flaky defense is like laying foundations on quicksand.

I just think his timing was wrong to play the moody card.
