My point being you can learn to love something new, or at least become interested in it. There seems to be no interest in the game at all from Henry, all I'm saying is that it would be nice to have a football guy as an owner.

My place of work has been involved in quite a few acquisitions recently, I can safely say that there is no love or burgeoning feeling involved in any of them, they're just means to more money coming in

What is this bilge appearing in the Rodgers thread? Fantasy football has another thread I believe, somewhere for those that still engage.

I also don't agree that it's the system, necessarily. Many teams have systems that their opponents know all about, but they have the players to make the system work.

I think Rodgers knows his preferred system, but doesn't have the players for it so tries to play them in a system he doesn't really know or like.

I'm worried about the next few years.

Disagree with anybody saying FSG have done nothing wrong. It's their strategy that's leading the club, their strategy that gave us a young manager with potential rather than a proven winner, their strategy that only gives us young players with potential or those slightly older as long as they are prem proven. They hire the staff on the committee. They have to be different of course but their different approach isn't working. Yes we don't have the money to sign the best players all the time but we can certainly sign at least one each window and even though they have tried that, their strategy to get them in hasn't delivered either. So absolutely they have blame attached to them.

Hodgson had a better first 11 for sure - here's the first 11 against Chelsea in November 2010

25 Reina; 34 Kelly, 23 Carragher, 37 Skrtel, 3 Konchesky; 4 Meireles, 21 Lucas, 8 Gerrard, 17 Rodriguez, 18 Kuyt, 9 Torres

Here's the Stoke lineup

22 Mignolet 23 Can 37 Skrtel 17 Sakho 18 Moreno 14 Henderson 21 Lucas 24 Allen 10 Coutinho 8 Gerrard 20 Lallana

The obvious aberration in that lineup is Paul Konchesky, who is one of the worst players ever to wear a red shirt. Other than that, can you honestly say that playing 7 midfielders is better than what we saw under Roy?

Rodrigues > Lallana (thus far)

Even your 11 is weaker man for man, than Hodgson's 11.

just reminded me of a right plonker i saw earlier, he was treating the garden benches in the hotel garden, on his back underneath one of them struggling.

They aren't even fixed to the ground, he could just stand the things on their end and have easy access to paint 95% of the thing easily no problem!
