Losing to a team we haven't lost at home to since 1963 and by 3-0 at that means he won't be given much time by the fans in my view.

How the fans react to the next couple of defeats will be instructive on how much pressure FSG will come under to can Rodgers before the end of this season.

That's what should happen but it isn't what would happen. I just can't see us doing so bad that FSG would sack him in the first half of the season, maybe all season.

          James Pearce:BR's Presser
Rodgers: "Sturridge returned to training but no timeline on when he will play in games. We'll see about Henderson/Lallana over next 24hrs."

"Our tally of goals will increase as team improves over course of the season. Daniel coming back into the fold will help that."

"This is the biggest derby game in the history of this league. Winning a game like this can give you psychological boost."

"This game comes on back of international break so had virtually no time to work with players. Some only arrived back yesterday."

Lovren: "In his first 3 games this season Dejan showed he has the quality and the consistency to perform well."

"Dejan knows we performed below the level in that game (v West Ham). He knows he made a mistake but it was about the collective."

"No time to work with the players"

Good grief, is Brendan the only manager ever to have had to deal with international breaks and players going away?

Best if Brendan shelves that early excuse, I reckon

He is ****ed I reckon. That was a bit of a strange thing to say. I can't see us getting anything out of the game tomorrow, but he'll probably play it safe and try to be solid and efficient and get ourselves a boring draw, then claim this to be a massive result.

See, this is my first proper attack on Brendan.
                Are we winning?

IF we lose - when we lose - we'll have 7 points from 5 games.

Decent effort, but it's really lacking an edge, you'll do better after the game I'm sure
                    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

For me the West Hammers game was/is the countdown on Rodgers's as LFC Manager, this game v Utd is his biggest chance to emphatically show he know's he can beat a top 4 side and that the West Ham game was a one off[no it wasn't it was the Stoke de ja vu].

Yep and that would certainly heap pressure on Rodgers, but IF we get a win tomorrow then that puts us on a two points per game average after five games.

Not sure that any of us could really complain about a two ppg average given the teams we would have faced.

Course with you mentioning seven points and me saying ten, it is probably nailed on to be a dull 0-0 all
