I'm not sure what is the issue really. We turned it around after a dreadful start last season and started to get our swagger back, then everything started to go wrong after the defeat at home against United.

Prior to that, we looked unstoppable, so Rodgers deserves at least some credit for that. What happened afterwards is a mystery and the mistakes seems to have cropped in and he's been constantly tweaking since then without finding the right balance.
    Are we winning?

With Rafa (Oops I did it), you could see what he was trying to achieve with most of the signings he made, even if they looked crap on paper. Riera brought balance to the left side for example. You could see him putting his squad together thoughtfully, and within some pretty huge restrictions too (without going into that).

Brendan has everything Rafa didn't. Time. Funds. Owners who back him. Less pressure (because of the downgrading of expectation). He has everything set up for him to make a success of it, but he doesn't have the ability to do it, his methods don't work.
You are preaching to the choir here

Brendan should have gone last season. He would have at pretty much every other top club. Having backed him we are now in a bizarre hinterland between what we currently see on the pitch, and an unlikely promise of better days to come.

Again I'm having to miss a match tonight cos of prior arrangements & again I really don't give a **** at all. Last time I felt like this as under Bodge's tenure.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

...and the excuses! Oh god the excuses!
I wonder if the critisism of his sides ability to defend has caught up with him. For the last couple of years he/we have been heavily by pundits, reporters and fans for our inability to defend I wonder if he has thought over the summer that he really needs to get this sorted and as a result has abandoned the ideas that worked previously to try and make us more solid, but obviously things haven't worked out because he can't set up teams to play that way.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

But our new forwrd thinking signings look totally out of sorts and have had no form at all on the pitch. IS it always to do with signing for a bigger club or just how we integrate them all and confuse them with being able to play in multiple positions.

Seems we have done it with Markovic and Lallana last year seeing them at wing backs putting effort in and looking average and last week with Ings and Firmino playing wide.

Ever since Suarez left the manager seems unwilling to play two strikers up top when everyone on here can see that it should benefit the team.

Still think the managers way out is to press teams in their half because this turgid football at the back with Mig being involved is never getting us anywhere.
The worst thing is that Ayew is a massive LFC fan and was absolutely desperate to come here on a free. He probably would have played for next to nothing. He looked great at the last two world cups and has very consistent stats in France.

A lot of his quotes seem to be excuse orientated, which surely rubs off onto the players.

So tonight we have the 'rested players' excuse. Last week we had the 'lack of prep time' excuse. We are currently AGAIN getting the 'period of transition' excuse.

              Basically, enough with the excuses
In the summer we had the coaches werent good enough and the transfer committee wasnt either

We'll buy him in the summer mate

Sure, it'll cost a few quid more, but he'll be Premiership proven by then

Objectively, neither would I want him to. I don't think he'll be here next season, perhaps not even next year, but the time to get rid was in the summer. He's here for the immediate future IMO, rightly or wrongly
Sometimes though you just have to realise you've made a mistake and cut your losses.

We're at that stage now. The players clearly don't believe in him or just don't know what the **** they're supposed to be doing now.

Its clearly nothing to do with the manager

Its clearly the psychology of joining a "big club", adjusting to life on Merseyside, the weather, the signs of the Zodiac currently not in our favour etc....

If it was my decision, I'd fire him asap. FSG wont do that but I would

He aint going to turn it around, yes we've spent money but you might as well get someone in let them have the time between now and the window to assess the squad so they can bring who they might need in January

Leaving it longer makes things more panicked in January

He's done it to an extent last year and we were heading in the right direction.
We may have been heading in the right direction but he changed tact again in the summer

                          It was a complete u-turn

We have done more u-turns in Rodgers time I am surprised he hasnt met himself coming round the corner

Surely it will soon be in vogue to pillage Leicester City, paying over the odds for their own brand of 'prem proven'?

I predict huge bids for Mahrez and Vardy in the summer. We'll probably pay about £65millions for them - well, we will once the negotiation team have hard balled the **** out of the deal for a few months.

                              Eh?

I dont care who the manager/players/owners are, but I dont think ive ever wanted us to lose a game. People always use the phrase 'No player is bigger than the club' well the same applies for the manager too.

You dont actually want us to lose do you?
                              *Except Michael, who died.
