the funny thing is - this talk of him 'picking up' a yellow card like it's on purpose has made me laugh....
i'm convinced he'll get booked tomorrow - and he won't be on purpose....it's just the position he now plays, a defensive/holding mid will, at some point during a game, be required to make a tackle that stops a counter attack and accept the yellow as taking one for the team.
just look at lucas for example - booked every gameLast edited by PTP; 25-03-14, 12:40 PM.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

wrong, but every other top club would do it to ensure stevie will be available for the crunch games.

Lucas has actually only had about 40 bookings in 236 appearances.Originally posted by PTP View Postthe funny thing is - this talk of him 'picking up' a yellow card like it's on purpose has made me laugh....

I do agree though, he is likely to pick up a booking. He's been lucky not to see red recently, someone like Lucas may not have been so fortunate. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

na surely not
- it felt like lucas got booked every week - i even remember one game, he hadn't got booked, it was a comfortable win, and then in the last minute he tripped up someone on purpose....just to get his booking - he ****ing loves it he does

it must be that little cherub face, cute smile and curly hair that you just want to ruffle your fingers through that melts a referee's heart and gets him off a defo yellow.Originally posted by RedReet View Post
Aye, on here it felt like he got booked every week, along with the 100 fouls he made every game.

Needs to flex those 'England captain perks' to the refs, but as you say, it's possible that's what's already kept him picking up those second yellows is a couple games recently."I will make the boys feel your support"

We'll demolish Spurs no problem without Stevie, I agree he should take a yellow tomorrow because as you say we'll need him for City/Chelsea.Originally posted by Gibbo View PostI'd have him take a yellow.
Id rather have him for Chelsea/City then Spurs
