Don't be so daft, as if that has anything to do with it.

Sadly, I think Gerrard will be off abroad at the end of this season. I don't think today's defeat was down to him being poor either. But people are right to suggest he isn't being utilised in the best possible way. Annoys me to hear people talk of him like he's an Andriy Voronin or something, but when it gets to that point it's probably right to move him on.

In a better team he's still a boss IMO, but we aren't that and won't be for a while so maybe it is time to say goodbye.
    Forwards.......

Its not a real problem NOW. Its been a real problem since September. Its only now fans are overcoming the sadness of having to think this way.

Edit: to answer your question, Brendan was unmoved in September and he will remain unmoved until at least February. Anyhoo, season over and change of manager in the summer means we won't be in the CL for at least two seasons running.

From day one when Rodgers joined he was obsessed with keeping Gerrard on side. Does he hold that much power with the club hierarchy or fans, surely not.

I don't think Gerrard is to blame here, and its a bit unfair to think that way of our legend. It really is a mental problem with Rodgers for whatever reason. Sad for everyone concerned, fans, Stevie and Brendan.

Some rumours that Gerrard is MLS bound and the news will come out soon. Just rumours on Twitter like. To be honest - and it will be sad and weird when the time comes for him to leave - but I think that'd be best for everybody.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Rodgers needs to look at how Lampard is being handled and do something similar. Lamps has been great for Citeh.

                    I'm blaming Rodgers not Gerrard

I defo think something is happening, Rodgers was on about his contract in the summer yet here we are 6 months later and still nothing. I cant imagine any contract negotiations with him would be hard either, the club and his agent have done it about 10 times before and will know where they stand!

That's the best for everyone if he wants to stay. Otherwise, it's hindering the team. He'd then have the energy and license to affect the game further up the pitch when legs are tiring.

The worst possible news to be happy about, but it is for the best. For everyone. Mainly for Rodgers and his cranal blind spot. Do you know if its for January or the summer?

The longer he stays, the sadder it is seeing him trot about in central midfield a husk of what he was. Its definitely getting to that time for him to either leave or retire, he isn't getting in that team on merit.

IMO - Liverpool's greatest ever player

There was a time when Gerrard carried the team. Unfortunately, we don't have the players to carry Gerrard. He'd look good in a Barcelona or Bayern Munich team but not this current Liverpool team. Love the player, love the man but Rodgers' loyalty to Gerrard is embarrassing (although understandable if, as expected, this is Gerrard's last season at Anfield). The team has to come first.
                                Another MASSIVE game
