Could have had at least another two years like that.removing all the weak links makes us stronger

This.Originally posted by G View PostGerrards own words, he's leaving cos the manager told him he'd have to manage his games. So what are we to do, carry on playing him in every game cos that's what he wants. That's why he retired from England. And he probably wants it to be in centre mid despite it never being his best position, even in his prime and certainly not now.
Most of us are saying we're letting him leave too easily and he should stay as long as we manage his games. He's said the reason he's leaving is because he doesn't want to manage his games. Therefore, he has to leave. Sad, but that's how it is. He doesn't want to do a Giggs yet, so we don't have much option but to with him well and reflect on what he's done for us.

Gerrard showed yet again that played in a more advanced position he is far more effective and less likely to be exposed (given his age/legs etc). Play him in the attacking third alongside Coutinho and he will wreak havok as well as make a few people eat their own words (me included)."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Even when his best mates are saying differentlyOriginally posted by G View PostMaybe but the most prudent thing to do is take the man at his own word since everything else is guesswork.
I think Gerrard was being dignified personally but each to their ownBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

A football chat show here in Mexico suggested that there is more to it than just game time.Originally posted by Lecter View PostI think there is more to it than just that
They went on to suggest that he was not enamoured with the lack of world class arrivals.
Went on to say the signing policy of "potential" is risky as you need a balance and with Suarez gone and no sign of any world class replacements, it is no surprise that a supposed one club man in fact won't be.

Not his greatest game, but scored a couple of gems and was always advanced in the last 30mins starting off a few attacks. Few hairy moments in our last third, which led to him having to clear an effort off the line from his own mistake. Probably give him another rest for the weekend and have the option of coming off the bench in an advanced role.
Then again......it was only a League 2 side."I will make the boys feel your support"
