His average still is more dangerous than many others on the pitch. I think he would have seen more of the ball playing where Allen did. A decent enough freekick but he also wasted a **** load of set pieces with poor delivery. The contact with the overhead kick was good but it wasn't going to trouble the goal. His problem is that he can't keep up with the likes of sterling and Ibe or sturridge so he often misses the chance to support attacks. Set pieces in general were and have been ****e.
Be it him, Coutinho, Henderson or whoever we have gone back to hitting the first man or playing it short and ****ing it up.
