Come on Daniel, what side (£500m spending ones aside) arent reliant on top players?

Even without Stevie pretty much all season, we've been in and around the top four positions. Obviously when he plays he will have a major impact and we he doesnt, we'll miss him. No club doesnt 'rely' on its top players, other than City who have about 6 of them by virtue of spending the GDP of a medium sized country on their transfers.

Stevie Gee the horse won today too and I said in work a Gerrerd anytime double would be a good bet.

      Nobody listened.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

You always seem to offer these tips here though after the game.

Thing is, I wasn't saying it as a negative per se - more in reverence of how ****ing brilliant he is.

He's still up there as one of the best players in the league, as good as and better than even the current flavours of the month like Modric, Mata, Silva or whoever

I agree - its players like him that make good teams brilliant, there aren't many like him.

I think it reflects well on our squad that now he's back and with Suarez due back as well, we can push on for 4th maybe 3rd place. We're still in the hunt and it's been achieved without our best player and despite missing a ****load of chances and points.
              Are we winning?

Great to have him back we looked a better team with him on the pitch
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The dickheads who hammer Kenny at any opportunity should remember he's hardly had the chance to use this astonishing footballer. He's incredible.

Gerrard is a match winner, great to have to him back hope he can stay injury free as he is absolutely vital to us.

Came across some interesting stats recently comparing Xavi, who is considered by many "the King of Passes" and seen one of all time greats and our Stevie.

Well these are stats for both players:

                            Gerrard
                            556 games, 140 goals and 83 assists

                            Xavi
                            577 games, 58 goals and 67 assists

So who is better and more productive passer and better overall player in the world football..

Saw that on twitter too. Unbelievable really the gulf in stats between the two yet Xavi seems to be more recognised as a better footballer. In my opinion its Gerrard.

It was absolutely fantastic to see him play as he did yesterday. Hugely raised the spirits. Fingers and everything crossed he can stay fit & propel us back into the CL where we belong.
                                3rd place. Worst champions ever.
