Having helped win them so many titles and being an amazing player who stayed at UTD for so long pretty much absolves him of everything in their eyes. He could of been eating children to harness the power of their souls and still the UTD fans would love him. Titles > Everything else.

Unless you're a kid IMO there's nothing more cringy than asking for someone's autograph.

Does anyone still do autographs in this era of selfies?

Even those are for whoppers. I'd rather just take the few moments with the person shake their hand, tell them it's nice to meet them and engage them like a normal person. Selfies are the worst .

I hope the huge weight of being a Liverpool lad playing (and captaining) us is lifted off his shoulders and he enjoys himself in L.A I cant help but think there will be a nagging feeling that he should have stayed and helped longer though.

He deserves a new challenge and if I'd have been in Stevie's shoes I'd have done exactly the same. Get to 34 then move to the US or possibly go play for Monaco. Sun it up in the twilight of my career. Fully deserved

I would love to see him doing the club ambassador role like Kenny had, if he comes back. He's the best person to sell the club to potential signings - he's respected throughout the whole world of football. Can't help but think he'd be able to get the big names to sign on the dotted line - he'd be some asset that way.
