keane was ****e & we dodged a bullet selling him when we did. just as well we only lost 4, spurs lost more than that when they sold him on again i think.

For all us Irish reds out there

Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

He's never going to get another job is he?

Bizarre that he's been out of the game for such a long time, especially given how he's manic about football.

You've people like Allardyce, McCarthy and Bruce who are seldom out of work, yet Rafa hasn't managed a club since 2010.

Guess he's waiting for the right offer - next job is going to be a big one for him in terms of building his reputation up again.

It's not like he hasn't been offered a job. He's waiting for a club that matches his ambitions.

I just feel like the longer he waits the more people will forget what an outstanding manager he is. If he waits forever the phone will eventually stop ringing.

The media have done a job on him haven't they

He made a mistake going to Inter. It was a big mistake.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I'm sure he'll get a job in Spain without any problems if it gets that bad.
Going to inter wasn't a mistake, he won two trophies. I'd say that was a job well done, unfortunately the owner didn't match his ambitions once again.

'he won two trophies' is a pretty desperate claim.

At the time when people were questioning his decision making he chose to go to Inter and try to follow on from a manager who won the treble and made them european champions. That was an incredibly stupid move.

But he has had offers, but he does not want to move his family again and at same time he just does not fancy managing a midtable team in england so he's stuck because none of the top 5/6 teams are interested in giving him a job

Was at a wedding over the weekend and Didi Hamann was there, me and a friend had a chat with him for half an hour, I asked him how he rated Rafa, and he just said one of the best and that the guy is just totally about football, always trying to improve you as a player. I also asked him whether there was any truth about the rumours about Stevie and carra having a hand in getting him out. He said yes. He said that there was always tension with Stevie from the start- he said when he would read the teamsheet out for the game he would use everyones first or nickname, except for stevie who he would always refer to a Gerrard. He said he could never understand why Carra wouldnt support him as he transformed him from a bit part player to one of the worlds top centre backs for a time. He said that that Rafa never doubted Stevies abilities but-and Didi said he agreed with this- that Gerrard has no tactical brain- always wants to cover everyblade of grass- expend unecessary energy- and didnt trust him fully. He also said that Rafa was concerned that Stevie was getting bigger than the club.

Couple of other snippets came out- said that agger didnt play cos hes in talks with Citeh, reckons Andy Carroll is gone asap, and that Downing will stay as Rodgers sees something in him. He also said some less than flattering things about Kenny, along the lines of setting us back 5 years. He then said he was going to watch LFC train on tuesday and have a chat with Rodgers for an hour on tactics and techniques. I then bought him a beer and that was that.

Sorry for going a bit off topic at the end but not really sure whether to put it here or in the Hamann thread (which I couldnt find anyway). Really sound bloke who was more than happy to have a chat. His missus is fit too.
