RAFA BENITEZ’S agent insists the Spaniard will remain at Inter Milan – despite delivering an ultimatum to the Nerazzurri after lifting the Club World Cup.
The former Liverpool boss secured Inter’s fifth trophy of 2010 when they beat TP Mazembe 3-0 in the final in Abu Dhabi.
After the game Benitez challenged Inter president Massimo Moratti to start backing him in the transfer market or pay him off.
He asked Inter to buy “four or five players” and stop “blaming” one person before adding: “Speak to my agent if there is not this support. Simple.”
However, agent Emanuel Garcia Quilon says Benitez is fully committed.
“Benitez will stay at Inter Milan 100%,” he said. “I spoke with him on Friday and he told me that he is celebrating the victory with his family.”
Moratti said: “It’s not the moment to ask for reinforcements. He managed the game very well. I saw his handywork.”

Very clever, this is. Makes it clear that if Rafa leaves the job, it's Inter's doing and not his own.Originally posted by Bender View PostRAFA BENITEZ’S agent insists the Spaniard will remain at Inter Milan – despite delivering an ultimatum to the Nerazzurri after lifting the Club World Cup.

got to wonder why rafa pisses team bossess off so much.
first valencia, then here, now inter - a team that with their squad should still be pissing over everyone in italy.
makes you wonder if he does come back ( as said before i dont want him back but have much respect for rafa the man ) how long it would take for him to fall out with the current owners?
he is shooting himself in the foot IMO with these comments made. no need for them. thats what i dont miss about rafa......his inability to tow the line for the good of the club.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

MILAN, Dec 19 (Reuters) - Rafa Benitez’s comments about Inter Milan’s lack of ambition after their World Club Cup triumph were inappropriate, president Massimo Moratti said on Sunday as media speculated the coach could be sacked for the outburst.
Their fifth trophy this year had appeared to have secured the Spaniard’s job after a sticky domestic spell but his call for new signings or else he would speak with his agent about his future has not gone down well.
Asked if Benitez’s comments had ruined the party after Saturday’s 3-0 final win over TP Mazembe in Abu Dhabi, Moratti told reporters: ”No, for the moment no. Perhaps they were a little inappropriate given the situation. Right now Inter fans are happy.
”At the moment I am not talking about Benitez,” he added on his return to Milan.
Former Liverpool coach Benitez only took over at the European champions in June after treble-winning Jose Mourinho left for Real Madrid.
He asked for new players for the start of the campaign but no signings materialised and a subsequent injury crisis has contributed to champions Inter lying 13 points behind leaders AC Milan at Serie A’s mid-season break.

I think it is pretty obvious why, if you can't figure that out then I am worried.Originally posted by the rev leeroy brown View Postgot to wonder why rafa pisses team bossess off so much.

That is a nonsensical comment, Inter have sold players and not brought anyone in and have little squad depth and that has been exposed by injuries.
Towing the line is not always good for the club, especially when the club is being run by scum like H&G and Purslow.

Maybe you don't know that Milan for example signed probably the best player in Serie A the last decade plus Robinho. Juventus signed up the most sought after realistic player outside Serie A, Krasic. Every big club wanted him. Napoli signed up Cavani. Inter signed up.......wait they sold Balotelli. Inter weaker, rivals MUCH stronger.......Originally posted by the rev leeroy brown View Postgot to wonder why rafa pisses team bossess off so much.

Each of those three clubs didn't/wouldn't/couldn't spend. Every manager is the same. What exactly do you think is wrong in what he's saying? They need new players. They bought no-one in the summer. It's not rocket salad.Originally posted by the rev leeroy brown View Postgot to wonder why rafa pisses team bossess off so much.

Inter's is a very good squad but an ageing squad. The basic rule of success is you build on/add to winning squads. It's the best time to strengthen, and Inter didn't do it. Stand still and you go backwards. Basic stuff. Every single manager in his shoes would be wanting to strengthen. Could you point out what you think is wrong in what he's saying?
Anyway, this particular outburst seems pretty deliberate to me.

He already have another job lined up IMO. His family are already back. The question is then...us or Man C? He will probably move back "home" and that only leaves us and Man C as realistic clubs.Stop the cyberhate
