He needs to be fit once in a while before he can be a scapegoat

    Comment

If he leaves he can be an escaped goat
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We are the people who have watched him not play because of 11 injuries, or play poorly in the last few years if he does stay I hope he gets back to the level of that one good year when he really was great, 2016 wasn't it? 31 years old, let's hope he's got it in him.

          My god.

Don’t really see how he will ever be a regular, but a useful option when fully fit.

Maybe the big part is they've found someone willing to pay £20m for him and that will help cover the cost of buying.........?

He's got 1 year left and is on big money. We wouldn't be able to sell and would probably have to subside his wages.

Better to keep him, and he's the managers and captains trust ally in the dressing room.

Loads of games next year, don't get the fuss in an extra body for some appearances.

It was a wee joke .

I'm not fussed either way if he stays or goes.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I suppose he could come in handy to waste a few seconds in the 94th minute.

                          As long as he's fit.

His injury record is poor, we cant rely on him. Perfect player to move on to create space for new blood.

I wonder if the fact he's English is behind him staying.
I'd rather we spunked a bit of cash on Maddison who looks like he's handled the league really well.

I don't dislike him at all and wouldn't begrudge him staying but would rather he went because his potential is practically zero. Sorry about that, but he's blocking a younger talent.
                              Really?

There's just no way he has a big part to play. That's a fantasy. If he's happy with a bit part, then fine, but it is a bit part. Perhaps he misheard?
                                Really?
